The dancers at the back are Bags, Erica Bell and Martin Burgoyne. Martin (white guy) was her very best friend - along with Debi Mazar and Futura 2000. Sadly, he died of AIDS in 1987 : (

yeah, no one can say that she had back up recordings or she is lipsynching, because she isn't. I am actually impressed because as a Madonna fan, I always acknowledge that she was more of a great performer than a great singer, but her voice in this performance is not bad at all. She sounds really good here. Wow, how time flies. I was 13 when she performed this! Yikes! LOL

I was around 15 at the time--perfect age to witness her rise to superstardom. Watching the Celebration DVD collection all these years later I found it amazing that in her early videos she oozed sex appeal & presence. Simply the way she looked at the camera..............VERY glad I was able to witness those events first hand as they happened.

This was made in the "Dancetaria" on 21st street, when my friend Mark Kammins was dj there......and it was "he" who give Madonna's first contract !!!!!!!!
