Last night 1200 Japanese soldiers have died, 40 American marines got killed. I know it was a Japanese assault, but that is just bad -.- Maybe the same slaughter like the post-WW2 russian army attacking Finland =] =] ^^

Who would give their lives for this nation...I know I would join to defend the USA, but there are too many folks that are entitled and feel that it is some one else who needs to do something....All I know is this...Our boy's who fought over there were awesome and I wish we were like them

@mrshadowlee2 most interesting yes, greatest? no. War is disgusting and WWII was the prime example. I love learning about WWII but i thank god every night i never had to serve in that war. My uncles have told me stories and i feel so fortunate to not have seen what they saw

@FreeTh1nk3r- that wasn't an officer. That was the journalist Richard Gregakis (sp?) that got on that plane. Same guy that gets hit with a German shell in Italy in the next episode. The one with the head wound that you talked about.

4:40 approx is bs. The ships surrounding the Guadalcanal were sunk, and with them went all the supply the marines needed. The ships that survived the attack from the japenese managed to flee. I hate how some doc fuck up the story and try to paint on top of it.
