  • what is this for? me being stupid

  • nice!!

  • Quite a neat little unit that, is it based on the TL494?

  • LM324. Plans and schematics at alt-nrg(dot)org

  • I want to know if you are friend of EnergySupply2008 he said he is.And that he is saying hho will not improve MPG I gave a very good argument and posted it although he would not post it!

  • I have no idea who that is.

  • His numbers, however, are fairly accurate.

  • F = R2/R3 * [1/2c(vr2+1.8k) according to your schematic ?

  • hey Zero, Thanks for you schematic on your website. Can you please clarify few things for me please.

    - You have R14 10 ohm resistor which (2^2/10 = 0.4 watts there use 5 watts) This kills 2 volts before going into 7810 (10 volts regulator) Why would you not use 7812? (12 volt regulator?

    - R2>R3 for voltage to be dropped below 0 therefore this condition must be met however having a huge difference between them can lower the frequency range?

  • Hi Z,

Thanks for sharing your plans for your PWM. I see you have had your boards etched. I was wondering if you could post the PCB layout on your website?

    Thanks...

  • Hi Z im a newb at this HHO stuf i have been reading about it for a while now and watching ur vids. This is probably a stupid question but i dont know much about electronics. What would happen if you took some stainless steel dust ( From Sanding It ) and tossed it in the Cell with the convection made from the riseing bubbles wouldnt it keep the dust floating and wouldnt that increase the serface area dramaticly for hho prodution?

  • probably short circuit ?

  • will you be finishing your project? I have been waiting for new videos to improve efficientcy. I have modeled my system on yours but bought my efi and pwm. I just need a flash arrester and to weld my connectors to my plates to complete mine. You were working on a spiral plate. Hows that working?

  • Hi Zero please can you update the plans and schematics for the PWM when you have time

  • Can I be put on a list to know when this PWM will be for sale from you zero?

  • Send an email to preorders@alt-nrg*org

  • Has the shopping cart come and gone? I have not received any notification via news letter.

  • Nice work Z but my figures don't seem to add up for this. Let me try to explain my figures and you can correct me.

auto doing 60mph at 20mpg uses 1gal gas in 20min. 1 gal gas has 115000 BTUs which only 17250 are accually used in a standard engine. 1 ltr of hho has only 1.1925 BTUs X by 20min =23.85 multiply that by 5 = 119.25 BTUs total. Thats only.69% of the over all max needed. So where does the gain come from?

Thanks in advance for your responce.

  • the gain comes from the fact hho ignites when your spark plug fires. that causes the compression stroke to not have to squeeze the mixture, hho just squashed it. do you know how much energy it takes to compress gas to make the whole ICE (not including the intake stroke and exhaust stroke) ??? well put the formulas up and open your mind a hair and study if room for efficiency exists in a car motor. better yet light a zip lock bag full of air and you will get good science, not bum steer of effici

  • that answer did say a thing...what are trying to say?...hes saying that there is not enough hho in the cylinder to do anything. Calculate the numbers and see what you get.

  • Hmm thats a good question. I'm fixing to put to rest the Does HHO really work? question. I've just spent 4 months of research and a few bucks on my 2008 Tundra. I'll let you know in a view weeks.

  • Why dont you make a dry cell 4n5 and put it on your vehicle to find out

or go to zeros web site and read up, your math seem to be right, one lite of hho only contains about 1/8th hydrogen as the molucules are 1/16th the size of oxegen but hho in an engine does not rely on btu for improvements as you know it cannot be done, experiment and learn

  • Z,

I can provide you with an excellent shopping cart that you can manage all the sales yourself.

All I require is one of your kits when they are ready.

If you want let me know. I am a very good programmer and I 'll show you plenty of examples of my work

  • ZFF, I think it is time for the ZERO FOSSIL FUEL SHOW!!! So give up your day job and really take this to the public with an hour show once a week!!I am going nuts waiting to see what is next,You Need Your Own Show Buddy!!

  • isnt that yours???

    /watch?v=TC7mbmlJYB4&feature=related

  • That's my video being pirated by a serious asshole who is peddling pure bullshit online.

  • can u build or post a 3 O2 sensors EFIE print?

  • No. Just build a 2nd unit.

  • Pardon me, ZFF, is this the July 4th version,

of your PWM? If not, when do you think that that will happen? It's about the kewlest idea that I've seen,

    in a long time.

  • No, this is not a resonant seeking design. It is an automatic current limiting PWM to control HHO output and help prevent thermal runaway.

Not the Holy Grail but certainly useful.

  • Well I finally got it right, got light bulb to lite, took picture but do not know how to post it yet,,,? Brought back a few memmories about E.T. work, except the last time I did PCB was 1980 or so, things have gotten much smaller since... Just wanted to say Thank you for the instruction Zman. P.S. how do I post a still picture?

  • How many litres per minutes are you obtaining?

  • Hello Zero,

The local electronics shop hooked my PWM up to a Scope, so I could see what it was doing. I get a square pulse. The duty cycle and the frequency are doing perfect, but the current limiter (VR 3 1 K ohm) has a very small range. How can I fix that? does that have anything to do with the shunt resistor? should I make it shorter? in Europe we use a different name for thickness of wires. And I do not know how thick the wire should be in millimeters. Greetings from the Netherlands, Rick

  • I am certain there's something you must have connected incorrectly.

  • I am trying to send you an e-mail going through YouTube. Do you have it shut off because it does not go through. How I know it does not show up in my sent e-mails so you must not have it.

  • YouTube has been real flakey all day. Sometimes your three email show up in my inbox, other times they vanish. Very wierd.

  • do you still use the email account posted a your website?

  • Yes

  • "Final verdict is a 4.7uF/100V polyester film capacitor inside the box. While it will work without, it will still work best with four low ESR 1000uF caps in parallel outside the box."

Did you mean four low ESR 100uF caps in parallel outside the box? isn't four going to be alot in size and space?

  • No, I mean four 1000uF caps outside the box (One thousand microfarad). Each one is about the size of a C battery. I don't think 100's are big enough.

  • Do you have part number for the four 1000uF caps so we (me)non electronic students don't order the wrong parts.

  • Mr.Fossilfuel, Thank you first of all for all your time and energy with the best EDU. videos around in HHO Generation. When will your PWM/EFIE (60 amp)Go on sale? Any chance I can buy one with the amp /volt gauges build in?

  • Has anyone tried to log in to Zero's web page today. From two differnet computers I have gotten a cannot open message.

  • Yes I got fed up trying so i gave up trying. what do you guys think is the problem?

  • Hi zero, how many amps can your pwm's take? also what is the price? thanks greg

  • 75A max RMS, 250A max peak envelope.

    Freq adj 1KHz-10KHz.

    Duty cycle adj 0-100%

    Current regulation >100:1

    -25 to +85*C

    $225 + S&H

  • Hi Z, First I want to say thanks. I made a PWM from your design and I got it working.(I know practical nothing about electronic circuits) I see that you use a different capacitor for C5, I was wondering what type it is. Is it ok if VR 2 is 25 K ohm? I have little effect from the frequency changes, does that have anything to do with my power supply or cell design? (I use a 22 amp car battery charger) I am looking forward for your answers greeting from Holland sincerely, Rick

  • I have to add that I also have to change my VR resistors for those that you use. Now I am using one turn resistors, and it is hard to adjust duty cycle and I. I am learning while I am doing, I did not know what it meant when I begone making the PWM. But it is fun to do and learn. take care, Rick

  • Hi Z,

I'm glad you moving along with the plan. I can't wait to place my order. I do have a question, I am planning to run two generator with the PWM, will I have to double the duty cycle, current, and frequency parameters in the PWM? Thanks Z

  • Zero, Thanks again for providing the knowledge , schematics and parts lists as well as links to suppliers. I'm sure others are thankful that you are personally building some units and offering them up for sale, for many, just to build one would be an impossibility !! Incidently, I have noticed that if you set your vehicle's radio to a weak AM station, you can hear the effect of the % duty and Frequency pots. something that helps me tune the pwm along with shunt and meter. KEEP AT IT MAN !!

  • Hi Zero, Sorry to sound dumb, but- Am I right to believe that nice big poly film cap C5 replaces the problematic elecrolytic in the prototype? Thanks.

  • Yep. Low ESR at very high impulse frequency.

  • I want one! Sure hope I can get in before they're all sold out!

  • i bought and i'm waiting the VPT ver 5.5.. some of you have already try it? i will buy zff pwm v2 also.. Saluti from italy ;)

  • Very nice Z,

Their should be no criticisum ,of you or your work, you have created the most up to date unit possible, small and uniqe, and then given it to anyone, even the buttheads..., carry on Zman. P.S. Thanx for the very nice parts list, been building my own for a few days now, Wow! Going to build second one with digitaly controlled pots, then computer will search for best gas production, will post video soon...

  • Awesome!

  • Well, blew up diode! ,haven't blown cap yet, must have had diode bkwards ? light lite for few seconds ha, ha,,I'm an electrician not an E.T.,,, but keep on trying.Trying to map your circut for PC board , but first I think it might be wise to get it working, Noticed new cap c5 connecting r14 + too grnd ?, or 12v+...

    Also is d1- from Q1,d too 12v+.

P.S. sorry about my ignorance in electronics,,,may yet be buying one from you ,ha,ha. At this rate I will be runnig out of parts soon...Thanx

  • I agree, those people are along the lines communist or socialist thinkers, not free enterprise as this country was founded on.

  • Nice Job Z!

Been playin with a generator eh?

    Look forward to it.

Always fun to see what your up to when I can't sleep...

I am putting a set of points on my generator to short out the spark on the exhaust cycle.

since they are closed prior to and after the magneto there is virtually no wear on the contacts and the spark is just shorted to ground.

Has anyone been using your PWM on the EBN cell? I am interested to hear some results.

    Again Awesome stuff Z!

  • Not sure if its been mentioned yet, How much is your product mate?

  • hi Z, i hope you have recived my email with the info. abut the lawer, that u have asked for in ur privius video. i never gut a respond for that email, if u still need it please let me know & ill resend you that info. kip up the good work!!!

  • I did. Keeping it handy. Thank you.

  • This comment is for all of the critics of Zero.

This individual spent countless hours designing, prototyping and debugging his creation(s). He has every right to sell his product for money. Look at his videos, his craftsmanship is on par. He is not a fly by night operation. I really doubt the profit he actually makes from selling these hand made units will actually pay for his research and development time.

When was the last time you walked into a store and demanded free products?

  • Will a kit version be available?

  • Yes, after the third production run.

  • they look way cool, keep up with the good work

  • Zero, don't let the envious jerkoff get your goat. YOU design this, YOU put in the time, the sweat, the frustration and then offered it for FREE to whomever wanted to try and make one for themselves.

If they find they can't and want you to do it for them, why SHOULDN'T you be compensated?

    Good grief...some people's kids, huh?

Good work and THANK YOU for everything you've done.

  • Thank you Zero great work.

  • thanks again, I am looking foward to finishing so I can begin doing a side by side compairison of your design and another I built from a web purchase (no free nuthin' from them, not even help on building). Your design is so much simpler and from what I see a great deal more powerfull. Keep up the good work we need more unselfish inventors like you.

  • OK did I make the correct discription of the connections? I suck at reading schematics. The line on the actual diode corrospnds to the line over the arrow on the schematic?

  • Yes.

  • I have been a fan and builder following along as best I can. I'm not sure about the hookups that are not shown on your great wiring diagram. mainly the direction of the diode that goes to D on the Mosfet on one end and S (which is wired to S+ on the board and shares ground with R14). Will my 4700uf cap still work as tested before? I got no output last night and I am installing a new Mosfet and diode as I had them wired incorrectly. I know of no way to test the Mosfet to be sure. Thanks again.

  • I'm very sorry but I sincerely do not understand where I have left any room for misunderstanding or confusion. The schematic and drawings are as clear and straight forward as I can possibly make them.

  • I think your PWM designs are one of the best ones I have built, My compliments to you. I do have 1 Question. Have you and any of your viewer came across the traces burning out once a cell runs for a few hours at about 25 to 30 Amps? Its not a biggy just want to let you i have had the problem even though I print my PCB Baord traces at .070" thick inthe required areas.

Lately i have been building up on the Solder, Especially on your updated Schematic, Which i have to say, Works Fantastic.

  • You must be soldering your MOSFET to your PC board. Bad idea. That's why I mount the MOSFET separately and run heavy gauge wires to it.

  • Hi zero

    much respect for yoy videos

please put a gromet between the fan and caseing.

    Kind regards

    Steve

  • I put a dab of Goop adhesive to seal it and prevent chafing.

  • i see you went into sales glad see it wish you luck hope it helps with the cost of R&D

  • Back when I was designing that PCB for you, one of the changes you sent me was to add C5, a 2nf cap near R9. It looked to me like you were not using that anymore. Could you confirm please?

  • It's not critical to have it. I like it only because it makes the triangle waveform before the comparator look prettier. For the extra $0.05 each, next run will have them, I think.

Thanks again for that artwork of my hand drawn layout.

  • Have you demonstrated an increase in mileage? If so, which video?

  • I thought I did on the OBD1 Honda but I can't confirm it. The test was not as scientific as I would have liked and that car is off the road right now. The Tacoma has not benefited, yet.

BUT, wait till you see my carbureted genset experiment! I'm producing that video now.

  • Awesome Z!

Can't wait to see the vid. I'm just starting on a 3500 watt gen. I'll be using points to short the exhaust spark to ground and braze the jet and re-drill much smaller. The HHO stuff is coming along much faster than my knowledge of video editing but I'll start posting some soon.

  • I knew from the beginning that you were good and you keep conferming it in excellent ways. My compliments.

Can I buy your PWM's from Switzerland?

Let me know. Keep it running

    AMOX

  • I will ship to any country not embargoed.

However, please note, the first and second runs will be limited to one per customer. I want as many people getting to use these as possible.

  • Keep up the good work Z, I've learned a lot from your videos. I haven't watched them all yet but I going to....

    Thanks for sharing your work...

    TM (a.k.a Neo)

  • Wow! Great Job Zero! Keep up the good work!

Quick question... How will I be able to set the proper frequency/duty cycle/current on my own unit with out seeing it on the monitor like you have it setup?

    Thanks! God bless you!

  • I can preset a max limit prior to shipping. Throttle can be adjusted with the %duty adj. Freq is not all that critical. To set your own max limit you'll at least need some means of measuring the high amperage. Clamp 0n DC ammeter or DMM with shunt.

  • thanks for sharing, can you please tell us what happened to the large cap ( 63V 4700uf)?

seen you've tested several of those, what is your final verdict ?

  • Final verdict is a 4.7uF/100V polyester film capacitor inside the box. While it will work without, it will still work best with four low ESR 1000uF caps in parallel outside the box.

  • thank for the video i have been watching john and sleeping alot more. thank you

  • i have a H20 BMX number plate for my car, i wish i 1 day with the help from people like you be able to feed it, its name sake.

    peace

  • Could you post the Specs for the PWM? Freq range, Voltage range input and output, Current range too. Thanks

  • 75A max RMS, 250A max peak envelope.

    Freq adj 1KHz-10KHz.

    Duty cycle adj 0-100%

    Current regulation >100:1

    -25 to +85*C

  • If you were to run near 75 amps continuously, isn't the wire between the mosfet and the terminal to the cell way too thin for that amount of current? Wouldn't it overheat or possibly melt?

  • WTF? No! People do NOT donate that freely and it is NOT enough to put food on the table.

FURTHERMORE, I released the design to the public domain. I published the plans for free. I even crested a detailed BOM with direct links to suppliers. Not everyone can build their own.

    Don't be an asshole!

  • And what makes you think I am abandoning the research? If I can make more money in less time than I do by SLAVING for a company I despise, have fun doing it, fulfill a genuine need for someone else AND have MORE time for research, WHY ON EARTH WOULD I NOT DO IT???

WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE SO FUCKING CRITICAL ABOUT MAKING A FEW DOLLARS???!?!?!?!?

I've seen enough of your comments. Go away.

  • keep in mind Z, there are alot of us out there still in your corner

  • They expect you to work in the dark. Who needs money? You know I am kidding. I find it funny when people think we are supposed to do R&D for nothing and eat Ramen while we wait for them to buy product.

Make Money=Time to do more R&D

R&D time does not come cheaply.

  • Great work..i'm with you.. i donated a little but i'll send you more and more ;) i want to buy your pwm!!

  • Don't even let this stupid person upset you make all the money you can Zero! I watch everything you do its fantastic! As soon as my business gets going upward I will buy your stuff myself. You make us think and learn its doesn't get better then that! Thank you thank you thanks you

PS I hope you going to the Florida meet up!

  • Not only will I be at the HHO Games in Florida, I am on the schedule to be a keynote speaker on November 11 in the 2pm time slot. I hope you will be there.

  • Please clue me in where this is being held I didn't know about the HHO Games in Florida? Thank you in advance.

  • hhogames*com

  • You get em Zero, there seems to be way too may people that act "entitled" now a days. I've shut off my comments just because of the number of ridiculously repetitive and demanding comments I was receiving.

Youre still my hero, and as far as I see it make it while you can before someone else starts pimping a inferior product with your name on it on eBay. As always god luck, Radgen

  • The thought occurs to me too. :-\

  • @ RadGenH2O

I hope that a real ZFF fan would never buy a cheap wannabe PWM from eBay. The past taught us not to buy cheap crappy PWMs...

ZFF does great work. People who appreciate great work understand that it has a certain price.

  • As mentioned above, thanks for the update.

You know, I was a MILSPEC certified Micro Mini Repair Technician from NAVSEA SYSCOM back in my Navy days. In a few months, if you decide you wanted to offload some of the board assembly work, I think we could work something out.

I would imagine you could put that board assembly time to better use, but I also respect your need to insure superlative and consistent quality and delivery.

Feel free to contact me if you might be interested.

  • Thanks for the update!

  • Thank you for being an awesome human and making this contribution to society!

  • Beautiful! :)
