Yes BLACK LIP LINER is and aways has been a MAKE UP DONT!!! I did "dark brown" back in my teenage days & filled it i with a light lipstick + without blending & wouldn't dare today do that blending or not.

I object when people say BLUE EYESHADOW is a DONT. I have done it up in so many ways & it never looked "1980's". I agree with all of what you say about rules. I have done glitter on my lips & eyes. You learn through trial & error.

I been doing my make up since I was 15, now 33. Practice!!

You are so right! I am on a blush kick after years of not wearing any at all (that 80's brick got old). I walked into sephora looking for a color for my Grace Jones Costume. I stood in front of nars staring at the perfect bright arsed red/orange Exhibit A. I managed to justify the one time use purchase and ended up falling in love with this blush for everyday. It took some working to relearn my old blush rules but four blushes later it was worth every minute.

ha! How funny. I just bought Violetta at the Hello Kitty release party this past Tuesday! It is an awesome color and I am a little bit darker than you, I think! I use to be so scared to wear color on my lips because I thought it looks so foreign or that I could not pull it off. But NOW, I rock MAC's Diva and A Rose like it is no body's business! It just takes confidence, and like you said in another video, not to buy right away based on the store lighting, but checking it out everywhere as well.

There are just guidlines you should follow to look your best. Not everyone can pull off purple lipstick. =]

I totally feel you. One time I bought a creamy lipgloss THINKING that it was eyeshadow. For a whole month I was using it on my eyes, while getting so many compliments. Didn't find out till later that it was meant for my lips. But it was still hot!

You're right about the so-called "rules" not working for everyone. Example: The standard dark-color-in-crease (even a med color) just doesn't look good on me. It makes me look 10yrs older or lacking in sleep! What works best for me is dark at the base & gradually getting lighter as I work up the lid. I get compliments on this, so one should just break the rules and find what is the most flatterubg! Thanks for your videos - although they always leave me wanting to buy s/thing at the end =)

Buy only what you know you're gonna use and no more than that.

For people that aren't into wearing make up or not a lot ofit just concentrate on your lips. A strong dark or bright lip color pulls a look together very easy and it makesyou look like you've 'made an effort' to look different, you know for work or for a special occasion.

Excellent question, I'm not exactly sure which Dazzleglass are permanent, you might want to call them and ask! But there was a huge beaker full of them, and I think all the original collection is permanent there, but I'm not too sure.

Well actually, Amplified is a texture of lipstick, there are over 15 colors! This includes Up The Amp, Girl About Town, Underplay, Cosmo, and a few others. Look in the middle of the label on the bottom of your lipstick, right under the word amplified, and you'll see the name of your lipstick.

I have no limit when it comes to my eyes, but I'm so conservative when it come to cheeks and lips. I counsciously decided go back to the "nude" eye and buy my first full pigment opaque lipstick (ok it's chock-ful) but i can dress it with red lip liner and tada a red that works for my NW45 skin! MY first ever lipstick and red! and I had this safe peach plum blush. Well girl, I went for Devil (coral red). Thank YOU for reminding me there is not just the eyes in the face.

I'm still a whore for eyeshadow,though! Mine goes everywhere. Frosties from the top of brow bone and on the top of the apple of the cheeks for that sexy sheen. Stamping a pattern through a mesh-like material, where would normally contour the side of your face. Anything goes with eyeshadow it's my fave feature on my face -almond shape, hazel color and NW45 skin- (my parents are from the Caribbean, I'm the 'darkest' in my family, but God gave me the funky eyes, lol).
