Buttercream icing may be less icky than just plain icing. I used to make a very light and fluffy chocolate buttercream that would suit the cupcakes better. And if you piped the buttercream on top it would make it look rather swish and professional.
Lol! I was in my kitchen like at 2 am just to do the cupcakes! Theeeeen a disaster happened: 1. I didnt have enough flour neither did I have enough sugar in the mixture, so like there was TOO much butter and eggs! Then I decided to bake them, and like the papers (that you put the cupcakes) were all greasy and the `cake` tasted like EGG! lol!!!
But non the less I think this might be a great recipe I have it written down so Ill try later!
here goes a tip: add in your icing some vanilla extract or lemon drop just so the icing has flavor because also sometimes if you add the thingy to color your acing it tastes differently and rather `artificial` if I may.
Also, if you dont have that thing to color the icing then you can improvising by like adding in coconut or even sprinkles! Colorful ones!

TIP- i say just buy icing for it .. or take from a diffrent resepe... the icing will come out not tasty and too watery .

Not sure about grams but my cups say
1/4 cup is 60ml
1/3 cup is 80ml
1/2 cup is 125 ml
1 cup is 250 ml Hope this helps.
