Nice job and cool editing. I see that you use a double kick now. How do you feel with it ? I have one too since christmas and i'm training on "Bomber" and "Overkill" (Motorhead).
@RickyRocksDrums Thanks Ricky, if you like this one - check out my Girls Girls Girls video! I've been practicing on the double pedal for about a year... it takes a while to get the left side to feel like the right... important for smooth pedal work and not sound like a gallop where the right side is louder than the left.
Nice drumming Ed !! I enjoyed the whole video. Very well put together. I liked the double bass pedal work and your movement around the kit. Excellent !!
@readyeddy101 Thanks Nick! I really had fun learning how to play this one - it took a while. Samantha plays the roll groove on the floor tom and the double pedals. I think Tommy uses the snare instead of the floor tom - but he uses a big snare! I think the floor tom just makes it sound more menacing - more "Motley" Thanks for the support.
@stanleynich Thanks Stanley! I make it a point to practice the double pedal every day that I hit the skins. Certainly was not easy at first, but I have progressed a little.
I can imagine you loving to play along with live versions of songs. This must have been one of the longest endings i've ever heared in a song, and there may even be more elaborate song endings than this one! LOL.
@musicmaniac1965 I really prefer to play along to live versions of songs as it is more "real" than over-dubbed, studio produced music. In the studio, the artist can take 100 takes to "get it right" - playing live, there is no "replay" you get what you get and more often than not, the live version will vary slightly from the studio version. This is definately a "high energy" song to play. I think Samantha did a great job filling in for Tommy Lee on drums - big shoes to fill.
@musicmaniac1965 I also like this version as Samantha plays the drum roll on the floor tom & double pedal... I think Tommy Lee plays it on the snare. Most other covers I have watched this is played on the snare - I think it sounds more "menacing" on the floor tom.
@FL50DRUMR Cool investigation work you did before playing along to the song. I agree, the lower tones from the floor tom sounds more powerfull/menacing than a drumroll on the snare drum :-D Thanks for explaining this so extensively! I appreciate the work that goes into your projects. Always a joy haning out around your channel!
I like the live footage before the song starts, it leads up the anticipation to finaly hearing the song more! Does it take a long time to mix in the song video with the one of yourself drumming? It must have been time consuming!
But your hard work payed of. It's a great video, and your drumming is spot on! Love those cool breaks!
@musicmaniac1965 Thanks Ronald! Yes it does take more time to add in live footage or additional camera angles, and you run the risk of having a segment out of sync with the audio as you cut & paste. I appreciate your support!

Just a quicky after listening to the full song.
