  • your running a bit to much gads in it it should hit constantly and did u shim it it should take that bit of shaking out of it other wise looks awsome i had the same problems with mine

  • My Granddad had one of these on the back porch of his general store

that he had hooked up to a big cast iron coffee grinder.

  • nice...put a belt on it and make it work for a living.....lol

  • Hi What sort of paint do you use to paint these engines is it in a can or do you use a air compressor spray gun?

    Cheers

  • what's the name of that green? Cheers...

  • you need to slow the engine down. THEY RUN ALOT NICER..

  • Wow....exactly like the one I used to have. Mine had a rubber diaphragm style fuel pump on it. I think that made it a later model, sometime in the 20's I guess. It has been a while now, about 20 years now since I last saw it.

  • Did your engine have a sparkplug or igniter?

1924 was the last year they made the 1 1/2hp with an igniter

That would give you a rough idea on the date of your engine

    They made the 1 1/2HP "M" from 1917 to 1933 if I remember right

  • Mine had a spark plug, with the same "breadbox" looking magneto like this one, so it was after 1924, then.
