It's 77 and as always soooo great as a preformer, I love all of us fans,we love our Rory Gallagher so much. Saw him twice and was just as good as he constantly was out doing himself or just blowing our minds with his one and only style. I love him so much.
This is REAL ROCK !!! Who can do it better ? Bono and U2 can go home. This clip should have been seen by 2,800 000, not only 28000. I watched this live in norwegian TV in 1977 and taped it on my Philips VCR recorder. RORY !!!!
@gullhjertet ,ah you ruined the the whole buzz, even with the slightest mention of boner, bonio, whatever the fuck his name is..he`s a monumental twat..kill bono.,bring Rory back..
Recordings of Rory dont do him justice. I was privledged to see him Nov 75' in a small house of about 150 seats. Played for three hours. Played his guts out. I missed a new artist coming through LA by the name of Springsteen to see Rory. Never regretted not driving up to LA.
Yes this is amazing. I remember watching it at the time... I RAN to get my taperecorder and placed it next to the TV-speakers. I still have the tape today. Here on Youtube I finally get to see this show again after 30 years. Strange really. It is so damned good. Are you sure it is 1977? I guessed it was 1976. I must get my hands on that DVD set you are talking about "SlumminAngel".
All the best Performers die young it seems. Farewell Rory.
It may have been 76, but either way it was over 30 years ago and I remember little. Must have been there then :) I think it said 77 on the Old grey Whistle Test DVD
this is his best version ever !!! i think its 1977, i have it on my old vcr phillips video recorder. What fats domino is for R&B, rory was for rock. this version should be on the top of gallaghers clips on youtub
Brilliant! It's 1977, the first international Rockpalast broadcast, which Rory opened. One of many great shows on the Rory at Rockpalast 3DVD set, which I believe is now also available in the US.
This man is just truly amazing thats all there is to say.

This is blues. This is rock. This is music. I was born in 1977 for a reason. There is truely NOTHING, NO ONE like Mr. Rory Gallagher. Thank you Rory!
Also, at 6:35, this must have inspired the design of Rowlf, no doubt about it! :D
