Battlecat was the TRUE shaper of the West Coast sound. Pay attention to the record he was cuttin, they were Roger Troutman records.(R.I.P.) If it wasnt for Zapp coming out in the late 70's when he did, the West Coast would be ten years behind still. Zapps' funky ass, coke-infested, titty shakin, pcp sound gave Cat a platform he needed to take it there. All in all, hes the best G-Funk producer hands down.
