  • How many miles per gallon does this car get? i was looking into getting one myself

  • Amazing. I have this car too but a 1983 very beautiful car.

  • Nice Car!

  • Wow, that's an amazing car for the price. Someone locally had the same car, only an 86. It's for sale for $3500, and is triple burgandy. All original. Wish I could buy it, but, the wife says no. I'll just have to keep looking for the next gem.

  • Wow! Absolutely beautiful car! I just read someone's comment, which is something I was wondering myself...how's the car doing now? I mean, for the price you paid...it sure was a steal. I'm worried there was something the seller didn't tell you. I hope that this beautiful car is as good as it appears. I'm absolutely jealous! :)

  • Damn that is a clean New yorker man yo did score!

  • what a steal man i have been looking for one but i cannot find it

  • Wow what and awsome car

  • Congrats, that is one gorgeous car! Happy to see it went to someone that appreciates it! Thanks for sharing!

  • i just bought one for $200. not nearlly as nice. but i still like it. its so comfy. only problem is that 5.2L is terrible on gas...

  • those opera lights are a pain in the ass ...., the door interior has to come off " NOT THE PANEL " the triangle one --- there are 2 or 3 bulbs to light the whole entire strip be careful dude nice car ..., i had 3 of those 85 ., all gold ., 87 all silver ., and then another 87 white with half top blue vinyl

  • does anybody know the trannt in this car?, and is yours carburated?

  • my god, I'd pay 5000 and see it as value for money!

there's just NOTHING wrong......do you not see it as too good to be true???

    how is it now?

  • That's an awesome car, the last one I owned was also an '82. I had an '88, '87, and '86. The '88 was my first, back in 1999, and I wanted to replace the opera light on the driver's side. I was told that if one could be located, the price would be around $300 because of the unusual design. I'll be watching out for another though to fix up and keep for a good long time.

  • Wow this is the same exact car my grandma has. Its in the same condition of yours there, but i think she was having problems getting it started so she drives a dodge neon now. I would love to go down and get it running for her. Nice car

  • I have a car just like yours, only its not in as great condition unfortunately. Its a 1987 chrysler fifth ave. Almost identical, I was wondering how to remove the mushroom door logs, I dont want anyone breaking in cause of those stupid things. And what would you recommend as a replacement?

  • You should be able to just unscrew the mushrook lock itself. Instead of pulling it up or pushing it down to lock, just unscrew it. Most cars are that way. What I would recommend you do to replace it, is to take the part with you to a local autoparts store, and get a set to surround your doors. Find some new ones that are strait up and down, and that will prevent (woould be) thieves from sticking a wire hanger in your door jam, and pulling the lock up. - Arden

  • Thanks. They were bugging me for the longest time. not to say that they dont suit the car.

  • Right on. Good for you. I really need to do the same for mine.......... "NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!!!!"

  • @321whatinthefuck simply turn them counter clockwise to unscrew, then screw on some from a ford car without the mushroom top.

  • nice car reminds me of the movie SEE NO EVIL HEAR NO EVIL all the cop cars were chrysler new yorkers lol......

  • Don't see to many of these cars around, you got lucky with this one bro.

  • especially for me - european guy.....very nice car....congratulation !!

And please, make these cars in America again !!!

  • I wish i could get one, i always liked the old New Yorkers. Thought i have never rode in around, but it look like's a smooth beautiful car.

Hey, check out my 1987 Cadillac Sedan Deville and let me know what u think of it.

It has only 82,XXX miles and i payed only 2,500 and brought it off craigslist in brand new condition.

  • thats a nice car man!! realy nice!

  • My Uncle and Aunt had a 1985 they have been Chrysler people since I was born I rembere they held on to there 1964 300 until they bought this 1985 New Yorker

  • what a score, lucky guy

  • Good for you!! It's great to see a guy really appreciate the 'gifts' we sometimes get in life. And truth be told - even $2500 would be a bargain for that car. Just PLEASE don't 'donk-it-up' by putting 30" wheels on it!! LOL :o)

  • I'm leaving it %100 stock. The only think I have added to it, is an Irish Grill Emblem. Gotta keep the roots alive. Thanks for the kudos. In a few years, I'll be able to get a "Collectors" edition license plate. Which happens to be a white background with raised green lettering. Which "ALSO" happens to be the same issued license plate color in 1982. Gotta keep it as "REAL" as possible.

  • i got the same car but mine isnt in good condition as yours is but i only have 28,xxx on mine and i only got it for five hundred the only thing really wrong with mine is that the hood trunk and rooff doesnt really have paint on them and the driver seat has a rip in it

  • Your New Yorker is classier than a caddie more majestic than a merc and last but not least more likeable than a lincoln WHAT A BEAUTY Wish You Luck with Her
