This was a great review!!!! Thank you for being so open with this information. I may try this product when the baby starts on solids and I get my cycles back. I didn't realize how much I hate to buy disposable products until she was born and I had to buy like 4 or 5 packages of disposable pads for post partum bleeding- holy trashcan batman- that was a lot of money to just throw away!
I need some help! My diva cup is ALWAYS leaking! Granted, I don't get as much blood as without the diva cup, but I'm supposed to be able to not need pads. What's going on?
With all the trash that goes into the landfill, most of it we can't help but if everyone used cups instead of pads or tampons, it reduces the amount of crap we use and because it lasts for years it reduces the amount of packaging swell
I didn't see if a winner was announced, not sure if I am looking in the wrong place. :) Just wanted to see if I won before I buy one, lol. I'm getting one either way, free is just always better. :D Thanks again for your reviews and contest!
contest entry: coolest thing ever! so glad to find you and your videos, you rock! tampons and pads are nasty, and I got over them a long time ago - I started making my own pads out of cotton rags, but still used tampons out of neccesity from time to time. but recently, I started thinking, 'where do ALL those pads and tampons go when ALL those women who menstruate dispose of them?' and I realized it was time for a change! no more poisonous toxic bombs up MY hoo-ha!
CONTEST ENTRY: I hate the feeling of wearing pads in the summer... not to mention how much my dad complains about the pads in the trashcan! I'm sick of pads and I'm sick of not going anywhere because of my period. Time for a change!
I have never heard of the DivaCup or any other cup prodcut until about a month ago and I have to say I'm very intersted in trying it out. I hate wearing tampons! I feel dirty, they aren't easy to get put in or take out and they aren't comfortable either. Not only that but the Divacup would save me sooo much money for me and my two girls. Thank you for this give away!!!
Contest Entry - I want to ditch the disposables because I'm so sensitive to whatever it is they use on pads, that after suffering all week while having to wear pads, then I suffer for another week waiting for my skin to heal. It's not fun at all.
I can't wear tampons because I'm almost positive they are what caused my Cervical dysplasiaa (pre-cancer on my cervix). I lost a fairly large part of my cervix, but haven't had any further issues since I stopped using OBs!
I have watched sooo many videos on these, and I want to try one my self! They seem so much nicer than tampons, and I always seem to leak with tampons, so this seems so much nicer(: Please consider me! I know a bunch of people have more serious issues that would like one, but honestly I really don't think I can live without this products and I'm not sure if my mom would be willing to purchase one for me!
I've been wanting to try this for the longest time. I have D.U.B. and I'm trying to lose weight to help fix it (because I don't like the idea hormone therapy), until then I'm stuck having a medium-flow period for sometimes a few weeks. That gets really expensive and I cannot afford it anymore! I'd love to get something that is reusable and that I can safely use without risk of TSS! (Plus the closest store that sells them is 20+ miles away! D:)
This is my first time ever seeing or hearing anything about these products! I am intrigued! I have a very light flow and have problems even using "Light" tampons because they are still too dry when I remove them, and I know this increases my risk of TSS, Yet, my flow is too heavy to be at work or exercising with just a pad, not to mention I get very irritated due to the moisture. I would LOVE to try this product!
Contest entry: I have PCOS and have a really horrible issue with clotting. Clots can't be absorbed by any traditional methods (pads, tampons) so I am generally *miserable* during that time of the month because I can't even leave the house. I've been reading and think the Diva Cup is the best option for my situation, and also the best for tipped uterus which I've been told I have. I also love the idea of never buying tampons again! Thanks for offering this giveaway, loved your video! :)
@xmegasusx I have PCOS and Endometriosis too, I know your pain.. literally! The cup has changed my life!!! Seriously! I tell ALL my girlfriends about, and a few strangers in the "girl" isle at the store!!! I believe in it that much!!!
Contest Entry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have so many reasons for wanting to ditch disposables. I want to be as eco as I can. think the product is very cool. And I hate how tampons feel and it would be wonderful to have a produt that actually feels natural.
ENTRY!!! ☺ i've never even heard of "cups" it does sound alot better than tampons and annoying pads. it'll be a quicker bathroom break at work for some reason it takes me a year to change everything.
contest entry: this is very embarrassing for me to write on the net, but tampons make me very dry and pads always leak because i move so much. im not joking iv had the most embarrassing situations like i once leaked on my new mother in laws bed sheets as i sat down to talk to her..she hardly knew me!! i wanted to die :( i really believe this might just be the perfect solution for me :) and i like that il be helping the environment too.
ps if i dont win..thanks for the information anyhow :)
I have been looking into menstrual cups but haven't gotten around trying that many yet. I love the idea of an Eco-friendly menstrual device and tampons and pads don't cut it! I am also active, I swim and run and it would be nice not to use tampons during those activities. I also feel this would save me a bunch of money every year.. more clothes! :)
I currently am very active and would like to try the Divacup! I swim, run, bike, and play tennis, I would LOVE an alternative to tampons.. yuck. I've heard of menstrual cups for a few months now but never got around to trying it. I've also heard and read that it is better for the environment and myself.
It seems less messy, its eco friendly, convenient, you don't have to have that omg you go to my school freak out when you go to the register to buy super tampons, and I feel like even my girly products should be diva worthy!
Contest Entry: I have several friends who say Diva cup changed their lives! I am currently studying for my masters in global environmental health and will be spending my career traveling to resource poor countries a lot. I love the fact that it is eco-friendly as I am a devoted environmentalist, I won't have to buy or bring supplies with me everywhere I travel which is HUGE, and I hope to spread the possibility of diva cups as a solution for girls abroad so they can continue school past puberty!
Contest Entry: I've heard of these eco-friendly menstrual devices and haven't taken the plunge yet because I'm still unsure about them. I'm interested in giving it a try! :)
Contest entry: Im 15 and i love the idea of the eco friendly idea of a the divacup. Plus the fact i pay for my own menstral products and the divacup would save me some money. Even if i dont win the contest i am SO going to buy a diva cup. I heard about it a year ago but didnt think i would use it. But now after researching and hearing peoples comments, The divacup sounds to convinent and easy. I love that you are making videos on menstrual products too. Today i just bought a few cloth pads ^_^
I adore your videos!! Thank you so much for uploading. I use tampons when I go out, but they do give me awful tummy aches. I am going to try to Diva Cup. But I do have a questions: when people move, obviously the vagina moves as well, as you walk, run...will there be a chance of leakage? Does the cup not move as you move?
@TremorLady666 check that i've wrote that to somebody else , it works :try that : you push it into your body then insert a finger and push on the cup(that must be opened inside) and push with your downthere muscle like when you pee (and with your vagina muscle)you need to hear a little sound like a mini fart. It will tell you that you push some extra air out and must help the succion. if the cup is placed right under your cervix. You must have no problem anymore.
@TarotLadyLissa I mean... the way that the cup can collects the blood from the cervix. sometimes the cervix move into your vagina when you're on your periode so you need to find it first and place the cup under in a way that it will drop into it. that's what i wanted to say
Contest Entry: I'm currently undergoing switching to cups. My only thing is I'm trying to try a few brands before I settle on one. and Of course trying many cups is an expensive habit so I'd love to win a divacup :D
CONTEST ENTRY: I already am a very happy cup user... and very passionate about them as well!
I switched to cups for all the reasons you mentioned in the video and I never looked back since. I'd like to win the DivaCup for a friend who wants to try it.
I've been looking into the diva cups for some time now.I've had problems with pads and tampons, such as staining and feeling icky down there. So i would love to be given the oportunity to try the diva cup. The sound of helping the enviornment and my wallet would be great.
Contest entry! I really like your video and I'm glad to now be a subscriber to your vids. I currently use cloth pads and they're way more comfy, economical and green than 'sposies. But a couple months ago I had reason to use the Instead cup for a cycle and I realized how nice it is to not have to deal with even cloth pads, especially at night. The freedom was so wonderful! That's my biggest reason now for wanting the Diva Cup. I'm ready to buy it but if I can win it, that would rock!
Contest Entry: I want to switch to the Diva Cup for the enviroment I cloth diapered my daughter. We recycle everything we can. I am always looking for ways for us to reduce our enviromental impact.
The glue in conventional "disposable" pads causes irritation. I find tampons drying and irritating. I have tried using mumma cloth but the wool in the product caused irritation issues for me. I have used Instead Cups but find they always leak. I have wanted to try the Diva Cup for 5+ years.
I would LOVE to switch to the Diva Cup...I have horrid cramps and it would be amazing to get rid of them!! I have heard there are also some VERY toxic things in menstrual products.
Contest entry: I want to make the switch because I love saving money and also pads and tampons always give me problems! Plus no more forgetting that you forgot to buy more products only to realize when you get your period and having to make a rush trip to the store. It's always right there waiting!
I am a Diva Cup failure :-(. I always had problems with leaking. I did the whole feeling around for my cervix & twirling for good suction. I finally just gave up & switched to sea sponge tampons. I kept my cup, so next cycle I'll give it another try.
@SpiritualProgressive try that : you push it into your body then insert a finger and push on the cup(that must be opened inside) and push with your downthere muscle like when you pee (and with your vagina muscle)you need to hear a little sound like a mini fart. It will tell you that you push some extra air out and must help the succion. if the cup is placed right under your cervix. You must have no problem anymore.
I'm trying to cut out all of the wasteful things in my life so I've been looking at reusable pads/Diva cups as a way to make my period more eco-friendly. Also, there are some disgusting things that go into reusable menstrual products that I simply don't want to deal with anymore.
I've ALWAYS wanted to have one of these since I first heard about them but I was wayyy too embarrassed to even bring it up. My husband and I share a bank account so I can't even order one without him knowing about it. Periods are a secret thing in this house and it would be so awesome to have something like this to help cut down on disgusting tampons floating in the toilet and to avoid the embarrassment of having to ask my husband to buy me tampons (we never shop alone). :(
There are SOOO many reasons why I would switch to the diva cup, here are just a few :) I have mega heavy periods and use way to many disposables, which is super bad for the planet but also I, like yourself want to stop lining the pockets of these HUGE companies out there!! I have wanted to try a menstural cup fpr a while now but haven't had the confidence, but your video has given me the confidence I need to take the plunge!! I think you are fab!! So open and honest!! XD x
Contest Entry: I've been wanting to try something like the Diva Cup out for awhile now. I just have never had the courage to and this would be a great way to try it. I think that using the Diva Cup would actually have more benefits overall compared to disposables.
Contest Entry. I would love to switch to the Diva cup because I have had numerous times where I have felt really uncomfortable in public because I was afraid that I was going to leak and didn't have anymore tampons or access to a restroom. Also tampons never sit right while I'm using them so I always have an uncomfortable cramping and pressure while I use them. I would also love to be able to save money and have a more eco friendly alternative to pads or tampons. <3
Contest Entry: I think this Diva cup it awsome. It would really be better than pads that make u itch ugh. But i think this is awsome because it eco friendly and u dont have to have those embarrasing moments where u have to change pads and hear the wraper or see the dirty paper in the garbage. I think this is an awsome product
@melizzledf The Diva Cup is definetly less messy, and way more eco friendly! Plus, it can save you 100-200 bucks a year or more depending how many disposables you buy!
Contest Entry: OMG! Melissa you are AWESOME! Thank you for sharing with one lucky winner! My reasons for wanting to try Diva cup are, 1) It is Eco friendly. Every month during my cycle, I think about how much waste I am putting into the landfill. This would be a great way to reduce my carbon footprint! 2) It seems like it would be much more sanitary and clean. I agree-sitting in your menses is pretty gross! I rarely use tampons because the TSS warnings scare me! Would <3 to try this product!
Contest Entry: I hate the idea of "disposable" anything! Having my first baby drove me to seriously contemplate the impact of disposable wipes and diapers on landfills. In addition to cloth diapering, I've been transitioning to eco-friendly everything in my household. But reusable pads was an option that made me hesitate because... well, my imagination runs wild with the ways in which I might gross out my family and myself. The diva cup is a perfect solution! Eco AND budget friendly!
@Spacepuft I use cloth pads, and it's not really gross at all. I have a closed container under my sink where I soak the dirty ones and a basket to hold my cleans ones. The DivaCup is much more convenient, but if you have just had a baby you cant use it . Cloth pads are perfect for postpartum relief, but the cup is awesome for any other time!! P.S. We love cloth diapers too!
Contest Entry. Wow what a product, times are hard, sometimes I have to decide to eat or buy good pads, well I have to eat, and cant afford to keep buying panties, and they are eco friendly!! Well I'm a Diva, and a Diva needs her Diva cup
I have considered buying a menstrual cup for a while but haven't had the cash to do so.
I am a student so I believe I would save so much money by using a menstrual cup. I am also a big fan of recycling and would like to take my eco-friendliness further! :)
contest entry ! I have been thinking of buying a an menstrual cup for a veery long time now, since i am sick of my extremely heavy flow. And its very difficult for me to handle beause im 15 years old. its summer time now and it would just awesome and really money saving and much much easier for me to use than disposables while spending time with my friends too. I hate the sound of ripping the stuff open with disposables and everyone is hearing it trought the door ! its really disturbing. ily<3
*Contest entry* I wanna ditch the disposables mainly because it's just a pain to always remember to have an extra..and since I have a heavy flow I never know how to take while I'm out..then I worry about not having them on hand..these seem like it'll cut that stress down :)
I love mine! It was a pain to get used to that first month, but at least now I don't have to worry about running out of tampons at the wrong time or leaking through pads/tampons.
Contest entry. 1have a extreme heavy flow and I use way to many pads each cycle. 2 I hate the smell of blood. 3 I am do Eco friendly that this will be one more step to help recycle and make less waste. Thanks fit this giveaway.
@bunny9585 I love the DivaCup's feel, and capacity, but I prefer the stem and suction release holes on the femmecup. DivaCup does have a slightly larger capacity, but I think they are both very well made and as with anything my opinion may differ from yours. I have heard of some women who prefer one cup over another, but so far I have only tried 3 different brands. DivaCup is certainly on the top of my list! I know it's vague, but I can't choose.. they both rock the world!
Contest Entry! I've wanted a diva cup for so long but my parents we so weirded out by the idea that they refused to buy one for me. Now that I'm 19 and living on my own, I'm looking to the diva cup again to save me from the muss and fuss of buying pads and tampons. They've always irritated my body and they reek havoc on the planet! Plus, it'll save my young little wallet some money!
Contest Entry: There are two reasons I would like to try the diva cup. 1. I have a toddler and sometimes I don't get to have a minute to myself to use the bathroom as often as I like and this would make life much easier. 2. No matter how often I change and shower, I always feel kinda gross on my period. This would probably be a much fresher, cleaner approach to my monthly.
@joesonion You bring up a great point that I forgot about!! It is so much cleaner! When you use pads and tampons, a leak doesnt just get on your clothes or bed.. it gets on you! When you wear a disposable pad, you are literally sitting in your menses! The Diva Cup is soo much cleaner. You may get a bit on your fingers during insertion or removal, but that's it!!!
Contest Entry:This product is everything I'm looking for when it comes to "the time of month." I buy pads as opposed to tampons not only because of comfort but because I have an extremely heavy flow which sucks because at night I have to wear two pads at a time just to prevent any unwanted leakage! I am a college student strapped for cash just trying to become as Eco friendly as I can and this product would be one less expense and with its 8-12 hr protection I can go about my day in peace! :)
contest entry: I have a heavy flow and tend to stick with tampons, but they are dangerous to sleep in, and i'm always nervous about just sleeping with a pad. A DivaCup would eliminate this problem. Disposables also add up in cost very quickly, and it's not very practical. Being more eco-friendly is also a plus, as well.
Contest Entry: I don't know if it's just me but using tampons all the time it starts to really hurt putting them in and taking them out all the time. And because of my crazy heavy flow, it seems like I am ALWAYS changing. I'm actually on my period now and during my five and a half hour shift I had to change THREE TIMES. I've actually used a disposable diva cup sort (soft cup) and it was sooo much nicer, and way more comfortable. But still, costly, and now I can't find them anymore!
@SilnceCanuhearme There was a brand called "instead", those are way less comfy! They go in way higher in the vagina and actual touch the cervix. Diva Cups sit low and are way more comfortable than a tampon! Tampons absorb, so sometimes they can "stick" to your vaginal walls... not cool! Diva Cups are made of silicon which is non porous so they dont absorb anything and won't "stick"!
@TarotLadyLissa YEAH. That's the one, the instead brand. I think regardless I should probably look into getting some sort of reusable menstrual cup/reusable pads just because it would be so much more convenient and easier on my body.
@MicahsMommi Way better than a tampon! No leaking for 8-12 hours.. that's a whole day at the beach with no tampon strings to tuck in your bathing suit, and no more tampon changes in the middle of all your fun!
CONTEST ENTRY (oops for got the part) I'd like to try it because of money issues, plus the fact that i can't seem to find a tampon that fits properly or comfortable. i always get leakage :( Uggg
I'd like to try it because of money issues, plus the fact that i can't seem to find a tampon that fits properly or comfortable. i always get leakage :( agg
I'm currently using my phone and I can't comment on your comment on my comment but that's amazing! I have no idea what's wrong with my cycles because I can't get to a doctor but I'm going to have to atleast looks those up. My mom was a heavy bleeder and had to get a hysterectomy about 9 years ago, she's 53. I can't imagine spending so much on tampons and pads for that long. 6 to 8 hours is...well that'd make for a happier period. Lol.
@Jtbeauty11 Nothing, if you have ever used a tampon it's the same as far as going potty. you can urinate and have a bowel movement as well while using the Diva Cup!
Just saw where you said you have PCOS & Endo, I have that too! Some months are way worse than others, sometimes I go months w/o a period, then bleed for 3 months straight. My normal (as I said below) is very very heavy & lasts at least two weeks. I cannot get the doctors to do a darn thing about it really.
@ashbpavon I'm exactly the same! Some months nothin, and other months it's the whole month. Sometimes just for 2 days. It's crazy all over the place and this is a wonderful product!
Contest entry: I'm on a tight budget, and being able to have one less thing to worry about every month would help TONS. Even if I don't win, I'll be looking into buying one myself. I've had my period since I was 9 (I'm 22, almost 23 now).
I have seen something like this online a long time ago and it was only available in Europe! I think it was called a moon cup or something. Anyway, I totally forgot about it until I saw your Femmecup video yesterday, and I was thinking of ordering it. Then I saw this video! So I'm gonna try to win, and if not, I'll order one! :)
I would love to try this because I think that tampons and pads are so gross and wasteful and they make me feel dirty. I think this would be so much more sanitary and ec
Didn't have room for a comment in my entry but even if I don't win, as soon as I get a job or atleast the money, I am going to buy one! My cousin told me about it but you've convinced me. Hell, I'm on mine now, it's been less than two weeks and I'm on my second pack of tampons and close to my second pack of pads. The Diva Cup should've came out when I was 11!
@RadRadRaddish Girl, I have the same problem.. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome AND Endometriosis. I have super heavy cycles as well, like soaking through a super plus tampon in an hour or less! With the DivaCup I don't have to worry! I'm good for a minimum of 6-8 hours!!!!! AWESOME!
I would love a Diva Cup! I've had heavy flows and irregular periods since a year after I started my period (10 years). I'm 22 and I still have to depend on my mom to buy pads AND tampons for me because I'm between jobs. My periods are sometimes 1 month long and I use 3 boxes of tampons and 4 packs of pads. Yeah, I have to use bothat the same time. :(
I would love to try this product out. I have very heavy flows due to a health issue, I'm talking soaking through a tampon & pad every 2-4 hours for about 5-7 days. My cycle usually lasts 2 weeks! (yes I'm under a doctors care for this issue). I'm very curious to see if this product would work for me. I am forever having those embarrasing leaks, esp. at night! I would also like to try it to save money, I'm spending at least $30+ a month on pads/tampons now. Thanks!!
I want to start using a diva cup even if I don't win because pads and tampons are expensive. Plus since I have a wacky period I can use it when I think I'm going to get it. :D
8-12 hours? But periods last a few days.

@merce0909 no it does not spill back because your vagina is at an angle not straight

what do you use at nightime? If you sleep on it or exercise like sit-ups does the blood spill back into the vagina making it dangerous?

TremorLady666 9 months ago
@TremorLady666 It moves with your body, and if you get in right you will NOT leak.
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
@TarotLadyLissa brilliant! Thank you for answering!! :D
TremorLady666 8 months ago
@TremorLady666 it's all about the ''succion'' concept of the cup
PregnantWhaleOnE 8 months ago
@PregnantWhaleOnE thank you very much! You're been amazingly helpful! :)
TremorLady666 8 months ago
@TremorLady666 check that i've wrote that to somebody else , it works :try that : you push it into your body then insert a finger and push on the cup(that must be opened inside) and push with your downthere muscle like when you pee (and with your vagina muscle)you need to hear a little sound like a mini fart. It will tell you that you push some extra air out and must help the succion. if the cup is placed right under your cervix. You must have no problem anymore.
PregnantWhaleOnE 8 months ago
@PregnantWhaleOnE you dont have to push it up to the cervix, it rests lower in the vagina than a tampon.
TarotLadyLissa 8 months ago
@TarotLadyLissa I mean... the way that the cup can collects the blood from the cervix. sometimes the cervix move into your vagina when you're on your periode so you need to find it first and place the cup under in a way that it will drop into it. that's what i wanted to say
PregnantWhaleOnE 8 months ago

I've been looking into the diva cups for some time now.I've had problems with pads and tampons, such as staining and feeling icky down there. So i would love to be given the oportunity to try the diva cup. The sound of helping the enviornment and my wallet would be great.
LetsWatchStarsFall 9 months ago

SpiritualProgressive 9 months ago
@SpiritualProgressive Diva Cup sits lower, you shouldn't need to find your cervix. Practice it a day or 2 before your period so you'll be ready!!!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago

Contest Entry: I've been wanting to try something like the Diva Cup out for awhile now. I just have never had the courage to and this would be a great way to try it. I think that using the Diva Cup would actually have more benefits overall compared to disposables.
SpiritFingers186 9 months ago

I think this is an awsome product
acavazos1307 9 months ago
@melizzledf The Diva Cup is definetly less messy, and way more eco friendly! Plus, it can save you 100-200 bucks a year or more depending how many disposables you buy!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
Contest Entry: OMG! Melissa you are AWESOME! Thank you for sharing with one lucky winner! My reasons for wanting to try Diva cup are, 1) It is Eco friendly. Every month during my cycle, I think about how much waste I am putting into the landfill. This would be a great way to reduce my carbon footprint! 2) It seems like it would be much more sanitary and clean. I agree-sitting in your menses is pretty gross! I rarely use tampons because the TSS warnings scare me! Would <3 to try this product!
apricotbrandy333 9 months ago
Contest Entry: I hate the idea of "disposable" anything! Having my first baby drove me to seriously contemplate the impact of disposable wipes and diapers on landfills. In addition to cloth diapering, I've been transitioning to eco-friendly everything in my household. But reusable pads was an option that made me hesitate because... well, my imagination runs wild with the ways in which I might gross out my family and myself. The diva cup is a perfect solution! Eco AND budget friendly!
Spacepuft 9 months ago
@Spacepuft I use cloth pads, and it's not really gross at all. I have a closed container under my sink where I soak the dirty ones and a basket to hold my cleans ones. The DivaCup is much more convenient, but if you have just had a baby you cant use it . Cloth pads are perfect for postpartum relief, but the cup is awesome for any other time!! P.S. We love cloth diapers too!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago

I hate the sound of ripping the stuff open with disposables and everyone is hearing it trought the door ! its really disturbing. ily<3

You just posted a video on femme cup, do you like one better?
bunny9585 9 months ago
@bunny9585 I love the DivaCup's feel, and capacity, but I prefer the stem and suction release holes on the femmecup. DivaCup does have a slightly larger capacity, but I think they are both very well made and as with anything my opinion may differ from yours. I have heard of some women who prefer one cup over another, but so far I have only tried 3 different brands. DivaCup is certainly on the top of my list! I know it's vague, but I can't choose.. they both rock the world!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
Contest Entry! I've wanted a diva cup for so long but my parents we so weirded out by the idea that they refused to buy one for me. Now that I'm 19 and living on my own, I'm looking to the diva cup again to save me from the muss and fuss of buying pads and tampons. They've always irritated my body and they reek havoc on the planet! Plus, it'll save my young little wallet some money!

@rawrzorzes Some people are weirded out by it, but remember.. It is YOUR body and NOBODY can decide what's right for it but YOU!!

I want to use the Diva Cup because I would be saving a lot of money from buying pads.
b1zmyi34 9 months ago
Contest Entry: There are two reasons I would like to try the diva cup. 1. I have a toddler and sometimes I don't get to have a minute to myself to use the bathroom as often as I like and this would make life much easier. 2. No matter how often I change and shower, I always feel kinda gross on my period. This would probably be a much fresher, cleaner approach to my monthly.
joesonion 9 months ago
@joesonion You bring up a great point that I forgot about!! It is so much cleaner! When you use pads and tampons, a leak doesnt just get on your clothes or bed.. it gets on you! When you wear a disposable pad, you are literally sitting in your menses! The Diva Cup is soo much cleaner. You may get a bit on your fingers during insertion or removal, but that's it!!!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
Contest Entry:This product is everything I'm looking for when it comes to "the time of month." I buy pads as opposed to tampons not only because of comfort but because I have an extremely heavy flow which sucks because at night I have to wear two pads at a time just to prevent any unwanted leakage! I am a college student strapped for cash just trying to become as Eco friendly as I can and this product would be one less expense and with its 8-12 hr protection I can go about my day in peace! :)
Cortkneeee 9 months ago
contest entry: I have a heavy flow and tend to stick with tampons, but they are dangerous to sleep in, and i'm always nervous about just sleeping with a pad. A DivaCup would eliminate this problem. Disposables also add up in cost very quickly, and it's not very practical. Being more eco-friendly is also a plus, as well.

@nikozombie89 I am going to be doing some very soon, I just got some!!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
Contest Entry: I don't know if it's just me but using tampons all the time it starts to really hurt putting them in and taking them out all the time. And because of my crazy heavy flow, it seems like I am ALWAYS changing. I'm actually on my period now and during my five and a half hour shift I had to change THREE TIMES. I've actually used a disposable diva cup sort (soft cup) and it was sooo much nicer, and way more comfortable. But still, costly, and now I can't find them anymore!
SilnceCanuhearme 9 months ago
@SilnceCanuhearme There was a brand called "instead", those are way less comfy! They go in way higher in the vagina and actual touch the cervix. Diva Cups sit low and are way more comfortable than a tampon! Tampons absorb, so sometimes they can "stick" to your vaginal walls... not cool! Diva Cups are made of silicon which is non porous so they dont absorb anything and won't "stick"!
TarotLadyLissa 9 months ago
@TarotLadyLissa YEAH. That's the one, the instead brand. I think regardless I should probably look into getting some sort of reusable menstrual cup/reusable pads just because it would be so much more convenient and easier on my body.
SilnceCanuhearme 9 months ago
How is it when you go swimming? I'm guessing better then a tampon but has anyone tried it?
MicahsMommi 9 months ago
@MicahsMommi Way better than a tampon! No leaking for 8-12 hours.. that's a whole day at the beach with no tampon strings to tuck in your bathing suit, and no more tampon changes in the middle of all your fun!
