  • Mine doesn't seem to break. Even when smacking it against hard objects. Guess the KA-BAR fanboys hate to $10 knife. It's got a lifetime guarantee anyway so if it broke you could get another one. If it breaks to much use it to cut a steak or something.

  • that knife sucks

  • Its a pretty good knife...its pretty strong but blade isnt sharp at all!

  • where did u get it?? and how much did it cost?

  • @patwwe big 5

  • @Joshua1234gf oh ok thanks...

  • Buy mora their like $12 and super sharp. I have one and It sucks ass. I spent an hour trying to sharpen it and it still takes 10 strokes to cut through fishing line.

  • A GOOD KNIFE TO CARRY IF YOU SHOULD EVER NEED A KNIFE....ANY KNIFE OTHERWISE FOR FULL DUTY USE GET SOMETHING ELSE.

    A buck Pathfinder would do.

  • never buy a hollow handle knife they will brake nuthing but movie hyped up crap

  • Don't ever say never, cold steel makes a hollow handle knife that would be very hard to break, LOL. But it is not you typical hollow handle knife. Gerber if I remember made a hollow handle knife that an old SF friend use to carry, but what do they know, seriously what do they know, LOL.

    Cheers

  • This knife is gay. Mine also broke where the blade met the handle. Dont bother with this knife.

  • Just as long as you like it,don't worry about everyone else's opinion .

  • @mwillblade It's not that we're criticizing him. You and me both know the truth about hollow handle survival knives. It's this kid's life we're talking about.

  • this knife sux, i payed like 10 bucks and the blade snapped off near the handle. =(

  • Why do people feel the need to make a video about their cheap knife?

  • some people like to, i did, but that was on my old account, lol i make a video of my 9$ knife i got from lowes, a 3 icnh blade, i buy cheap knives kuz i beat the hell out of them, cutting plexi glass, 2 inch carbboard, even staples ahaha

  • its a piece of shit...the sheath will rip...and it even has blade play......and its a FIXED blade knife.....but very cheap....its a beater for me lol......

  • Its not made by jeep

  • This knife is fine for playing around with by the campfire but that's about it. It's small and not very well made. If you want a good hunting/camping knife, your better off with a K-bar type military knife. The Rambo knife's are just not what they seem to be...

  • hey, I have my kershaw and other nig name survivial knives. I want to get this tomorrow for $11.99 at big 5 just to see if it's worth it or not.

  • DO NOT BUY THIS KNIFE!

I had it for less then 5 min, and the blade broke...all it is held in by is thin plastic.

Not even cool to look at, I should sue. It almost cut my arm open when the blade flew off. How dangerous!!!!!

  • dude its $15 dollar knife. The blade snaps off like nothing. Hit a small branch with it and the blade goes flying.

  • you are 100% right! POS!

  • the same thing happened to me

  • 1. copy and paste

    2. send this to 2 other videos.

    3. hold your breath for 10 seconds

    4. press refresh twice

    3. LOOK AT YOUR HANDS

  • hey where u buy tht knife in dicks sporting goods

  • it's for survive in your garden

  • Hey thanks great vid

  • i heard that knife sucks

the blade breaks off really easily.

  • nice knife i saw this on ebay a couple of months back for like £8 i wish i bought one!

  • dude get some high carbon steel knives wit a full tang handle preferably from a known company like gerber or buck

  • i saw the exact same knife for $7.00 at big 5

  • triggerhappyhickey do you know were i can get a spring loaded knife?

  • even though their illegal in california i bought one at a swap meet flea market watever u want to call it and their online ive got a switchblade

  • get a ka-bar it will serve you better uses also it will last way longer cuz my dad has one that is 46 years old and still in good condition

  • all jeep knives suck. go for columbia river knives and tools

  • I bet you got that at Big 5, and they are all bad knives (save for the kershaw and CR.)

  • I dont know what your talkin about. This is a good knife and it is a survival knife thats why it has a hollow handle!! DUHHHHHHHHH!!!

CmsUnknown95 do not believe any of the other reviews that say this a bad knife because they are just jealous and i got the same knife today and it is GREAT!!!

  • your an idiot.

there, i said it, now i'll back it:

hollow handles just weaken the overall structure of the knife and you could probably carry more supplies in your pockets.

a single lighter can start MANY more fires than a comparative volume of matches (wet or windy day, what happens?)

finally, stainless steel will NEVER hold an edge like high-carbon steel. stainless is rust resistant, but, if you treat a carbon-steel knife with the proper respect that shouldn't be an issue.

  • airsoftguys just go play with ur slef in the corner dick lips

  • You wanna know why the handle is hollow? It's because the company is so cheap (on knives not 4x4 rigs) they decided to save money by not putting plastic where they don't think it is needed. Unfortunetly the plastic is needed because whithout it your going to take one good fall on it and it will shatter.

  • your right but i think if you fall on it you will be dead ha ha lol

  • actually the manufacturing cost of an empty handel w/ cap threads is more than a full plastic handel! its matter of design and functionality not money...

Also the handel should be metal in 1st place.

  • I see what you mean with the handle being more expensive since it is hollow and has to be threaded, but what I'm talking about is the company cut cost by not using as much steel in the overall design. By making it a full tang knife it would use more steel thus in my thinking costing more. Bot your point still makes perfect sense.

  • probably.

  • hey nice knife

  • my friends granps picked a knife off a dead german in ww2. it is 64 years old and still probly better than that knife.

  • few pointers... get rid of the matches and get a small bic lighter... the compass in the base of the knife tends to go bad easy fyi so dont rely on those... you should wrap the sheath in para chord, para chord has a million uses.

  • ...or just get a better knife. hollow handles just make the knife weaker and they don't hold much. you would do better to get a real knife and stuff your pockets with the important supplies.

  • few pointers... get rid of the matches and get a small bic lighter... the compass in the base of the knife tends to go bad easy fyi so dont rely on those... you should wrap the sheath in para chord, para chord has a million uses.

  • dont get stainless

  • to right!

  • I have some customs without any chrome. I just put a thin layer of Vaseline on it, it's fine. None of that stainless crap :)

  • Get a Frost Mora Clipper or Classic, High Carbon steel. Don't waste your money on stainless, unless you just like a pretty looking knife. Good Video though.

  • Yes Yes Yes! listen to this person they know

  • i teach wilderness survival at the university of environmental science and forestry and trust me, dont buy survival knives they are useless. go for the 15$ mora at ragweed forge. I use it all the time. good carbon steel, full tang, single bevel, and so inexpensive that if you lose it you can buy another

  • lol shitty knife

  • i don't like how the blade fixes to the handle, seems like a accident waiting to happen.

  • Ka-Bar like the Bull Dozer one is well good for stabbing ppl but made of stainless steel. if i had to pic up survival knife i would put my money on kukri. and high carbon one.. havent failed me so far when i'v whacked couple rocks and all that sort of stuff. now ppl thinks that "u silly boy ur ruining your blade and learn how to use it!" nope, it's a tool as anyother so i use it on multiple sitsuations digging, cutting, eating, etc.

  • If you're the kind of person that will go out in the wilderness with that thing I doubt you're going to get yourself into a situation where you need to use it

  • ya i know its not the greatest... but it gets the job done. A kbar is literly the best knife in the world so im not disagreeing with you on that. This knife is just for messing with, remember i got it at joes for 15$ lol

  • Actually a Kbar is not the best knife in the world lol they are double beveled for a razor sharp knife you need a single bevel trust me i have several bushcraft knives for best results single bevel and high carbon steel about 59 on the rockwell scale is gd

  • Actually double bevel is good for general purpose knives. i.e. survival where its good for everything but not the best at everything. Whereas single bevel is excellent at carving.

  • single bevel sharpens faster and easier but doesnt retain the edge as long and wont get as sharp... there are trade offs

  • it wrks for me

i reground my ka-bar for a sharper bevel.

    it'll shave hair now!

  • Basically any knife that is sharp will shave hair. I bought a cheap knife to show the difference between a good and bad knife. And it was easy to get both shaving sharp. The thing with grinds is not how sharp you can get it (though it matters) but how it holds up. So single bevel isnt great for chopping but its great for slicing.

  • 420 stainless?!?

there is NO substitute for carbon steel.

why do you bother carrying a knife like that?

a hollow handle is only going to weaken the knife and you can carry more survival supplies in your pocket!

get yourself a ka-bar and a belt belt pouch with a survival kit.

  • how the hell did a 12 year old get a knife? A shitty one at that? Go for the kershaw Kbar or the cold steel. something cheap but also something that you can put through hell and bring it back in a usable condition.

  • Ultra-High carbon steel, Very strong, hit brick hard, no chips.

  • Fällkniven A1 or the SOG seal team elite.

    those I prefer.

then again.when in the middle of nowhere, your blade is better than no blade at all.

  • yes, those Fallnivens are very nice.

  • ya i know i got it for ten bucks.

  • @CmsUnknown95 omg me to

  • what a piece of junk kid. Carbin steel is the way to go, easy to sharpen and tough as nails. All you really need is a 4 inch blade with a tang that runs the length of the handle. Any good woodsman will tell you the same.

  • I 2nd the USMC K-Bar, that's what I carry.

You can always tape (or otherwise attach) a mini-survival kit to the sheath.

  • yh but then you have to take into consideration that if the tape comes off/loose without u realising u could b in real trouble

  • Ka-Bars are though knives. You can get very good ones for like $30.

  • cool i watched the vid

  • You should look into a KaBar USMC knife, man. It's definitely the best balance between quality and price. They usually run about $45-$50. They're tough as hell, but if you lose it or somehow manage to break it(which is damn near impossible), you won't be totally crushed over it like you would be if it were a $200 knife.

  • dude, hollow handled survival knives are cheap as shit!and 420 sucks.get the cold steel recon.

  • cold steel is such b/s

    microtech ultratech <3

  • cool

  • sometime if you go to canadian tire you can ask them to put 1 in stock for you not the howl knife but just the blade it will coast about 80 bucks

  • dang carbon is really expensive, but i guess the more expensive the knife the better it is. (usually):) so i guess ill go reaserch bout um see ya

  • theyr on sale but heyr expiensiv i got mine for 188 evin on sale try to get carbon steel

  • ok ok ill take your word for it iv been eyeing a cold steel at big 5 but im waiting for it to go on sale. thanksfor commenting by

  • you idiot ur supposed to commant back dumb ass

  • my bad its 12 inches not 6 my bad

  • if ur gonna get a survival knife get 1 like mine i got a late model 6inch carbon steel coldsteel srk survival knife and obout 5 other knives if i hade i cam i would show u

  • seriosly tho if your gonna get a survival knife atleast get a well known brand thats trustworthy and 10 bucks thats not good and 420 stainless steeel is the same as regular steel

  • hey not to be rude but i have two acounts boh2h2 is my other one.

  • oh yah boh2h2 i bet you culdint evin afford that 10 dollar knife like they say the cheaper the crapier thats y i bought mine for over 100 dollars

  • suck a fat one. oh wait you alredy are.

  • the crapyist jnife ever stainless steel sucks for holding a edge and pluss jeeps sipposed to make cars not knives pluss its to small

  • 10 buks soory

  • it was 1 bucks at my local big 5 sporting goods

  • its real nice =D

im thinkin of gettin one, like that really.

    how much was it.?

    xo.

  • haha thanks

  • Thank you for sharing this video.

  • sorry to say thats not a survival knife thats a match case... a good fixed blade knife always has a full tang which is a metal tung going threw the handle..cheap knives only go about an inch into the handle horrible knives dont have one at all if the handle breaks off you dont have a useable knife anymore..

  • very well put.....i hate those hallowed out handles

  • yea, u got the samll versioin, i hav ethe seam thing but with a 9 3/4 blade, urs is much smaller, but basically same thing
