  • I just found out (I disassembled the lens 5 min ago) my aperture ribbon cable is broken in 2 pieces. Now the autofocus only works at 17mm. If I zoom in just 1mm, the autofocus is dead.

I bought the aperture ribbon cable from ebay with about 3$, and now I'm waiting for it to arrive so I can replace it. :D

  • Dust inside the lense could be the problem. Also dust on your AF sensor could be a problem.

  • Mine does not move at all! Never has! :(

  • Its a really nice lens, up until that aperture ribbon cable brakes or looses contact inside the lens.

Then it just won't focus properly on some mm. (Usually on the extremes)

  • Have you find the problem?seems like i have the same problem

    .thx
