These guys are fantastic. I first got turned on to them about maybe 25 years ago. I worked in a place call Shatzi's NY. deli in Rockville MD. A place in White Flint Plaza. The owner Stan turned me on to these guys and I've been hooked ever since. Great music.
I could listed to these guys for days on end. Their harmonies were probably the best in all recorded music. It's great that they have left such a legacy. It must have been difficult to break through the racial barriers of the time but they did it through thir great musical skills. Thanks for posting this.
I haven't seen or heard it, but sometimes when I'm listening to their early stuff (before John Jr. died), I hear a voice which I'm not sure if it's Donald or Harry, so I assume it's Herbert. Donald and Harry were considered the "leaders", Donald with the sweet lead tenor and Harry with the big personality, the versatile musical skills, the Dean Martin phrasing (Dean learned from him) and the tasty simulated trumpet solos.
Great old Hoagy Carmichael song! Love the Mills Bros.

Harry Mills

But isn't that Harry playing the simulated trumpet solo to that person's left? By process of elimination, that would only leave Herbert.

It is Herbert, i was suprised to when i first saw it!

It's nice to see Herbert playing the character for a change, instead of just blending in!
