  • LOL, thats a funny way to use VFDs - pretty cool idea.

  • Is the display just in series with the audio source? Does the amplification come from negative resistance effect of gas plasma?

  • @smokyatgroups The VFD has similar internal structures to a vacuum tube, with a plate (anode), combined filament & cathode, and grid. He's using the VFD as a vacuum tube amplifier. Pretty neat.
