@hobbymadness nope, they really suck, just to put an example the arctic is announced to be a 1W laser when in reality is around 700mw, same thing with the krypton. 1k for 1W when you barely get 700mw. I also remember when the arctic came out and it was supposedly to be in stock on their website when they didnt even have 1 in stock. I made my order, and after 3 months i hadnt got my laser I just cancel my order and bought a DIY 1W 445nm. So if you are rich and dumb go ahead and waste your money:D

@uffy4 Maybe you dont know but WL send lasers to people for making reviews. Kipkay is famous and WL just want to give the impression that theyre actually good, sending to kipkay a cherry picked laser in a timely period of time. Even though if you get your laser from them, their true power are way below what they advertise.

Nice! Videos like these make me realise just how weak my cheap "200mw" lasers really are.

By the way, are you ever going to construct a laser that can output a very strong pulse (think >1KW) for a very small fraction of a second? I would be very, very interested in making one of those and from what I've seen it isn't as hard to make as it sounds.

I have been on laser community, that was the first laser forum I joined (that was five years ago), but they banned me :(

WL sells underspec lasers, that's a fact. e.g Styropyro's Arctic outputs 750mW.

@RickAt19348 I was referring to DPSS lasers like green lasers. Diode lasers can degrade too depending on the conditions, but generally not near as fast as DPSS lasers. Green lasers will slowly get weaker the more they are dropped or go through temperature change as the crystals begin to get out of alignment. With good care this is partially avoidable.

@RickAt19348 It means diode pumped solid state, it's a type of laser. Pretty much all green lasers on the market are DPSS. DPSS is a crazy process that can make some pretty sweet lasers.

Not the best quality considering diode life from heat & china, crystal alignment. DX green ones aren't very good now. Sorry for rambling. They have red pen style lasers now, they are cheap like reds usually are, maybe better then the greens? Think I should review them & see if they are good? got a bday visa gift card.
