Here's an idea, someone make this game. The setting is the FF7 world, all open ended, and your just a person, you can work, save money, fight in random battles, all in the unreal engine. Not a re-make. Just a random person in the world of ff7. It'd be like skyrim, only you go from town to town doing random quests, and just living. You can buy a house... live... in the world of ff7.

Just think about it, one guy made this, and it looks pretty good, get the Square team working on it, how long, really, would it take. Granted it's a lot harder than what it seems, but still, they could definitely get it done in maybe 3 years. If they really tried, they could have it out in 2 years, but that's with having nothing else for projects.

I herd that Square is already working on FF7 remake but its top secrect for the fans.. we just have to wait and see if its really the secrect remake or this so called great of all times FF10 -_- thats a disgrace to all FF fans as much as FF13 was. If you dont eventually make this into a proper game, then this is a terrible waste of talent, incredible talent.

I've never really played FF7 enough to recognise any locals, but this just looks AMAZING, it would be wrong for such a creation to not see the light of day. This looks easily as good as what we see in games today. I guess legally theres not much you can do in terms of remakes, but I dont care. I'd still do it if I had the time!

@DevineEmperorMeiji A remake just wouldnt be the same. There was so much character in those funny little box characters and voices might just seem weird. I cant imagine a remake that would get more of a response than "meh" after the initial affect of polished graphics wore off. I hope they leave it as it is and dont remake, its already perfect.

A better idea IMO would be to make a sort of spin off / side story to the main FF7 world, that way people can see their favourite old characters and levels again from back in the day, but in entirely new situations. You can do a remake, or a remix. Just like the old ALICE game from 2001 or whenever was a horror remix of alice in wonderland. Remixes give you more freedom to express your own ideas and tastes. I'd love to do a remix of a few games like Shadowman or Tenchu for example!

Yea the story of FF7 (which im not familiar with) already has an ending. A sidestory/spinoff, doesn't have to have anything to do with the story arc of the original, it just takes place in the same FF7 universe. I dont see the problem with it.
