  • Thank you. I was watch what was this same performance on Youtube I think but for some stupid reason it was restricted. So again you wonderful person thank you.

  • guy to the right of the composer really gets into it!!! haha

  • @brettsmithy778 Me too! He's the Concertmaster, aka defacto peer leader of the ensemble following the Conductor - if you notice the downbeat of the climax at 3:11, the conductor's cue is emotive/artistic since it lacks a clear ictus (point of impact signifying a beat) ; the concertmaster realizes this and exaggerates his movements to help the rest of the orchestra keep the beat. Cool shit.

  • @brettsmithy778 I've looked extremely hard but cannot see the Composer,Sir Edward Elgar anywhere.Surely you mean the Conductor? :-P

  • I love it how everyone coughs afterwards like they've been holding it throughout the piece, (:^,

But beautiful music, one of my favourite pieces ~ very powerful,

  • Just listen to the same piece conducted by the late great Sir Adrian Boult with the London Philharmonic and tell me hes not the greatest conductor who ever lived!!

  • WOW this version is even better than most of the other major symph orch versions! ABSOLUTE BEAUTY

  • Excellent Maestro unique style....you conduct like GOD..

  • this piece just melts my face... its amazing
