just some goodwilled constructive suggestions for you .
I love all your videos and you play great and have a very sweet touch on the guitar..
But every time yoy demo a Strat style guitar you really dont use positions 2 and 4 oh the 5 way.. and these are the defining start sounds.. I can see your more of a gibson guy who enjoys the treble pickup while most Strat guys use positions 2 and 4 more often.. Just a suggestion buddy for you future demos... still great , but would be even better ..
@awesomejohnnet I agree as well. I spend almost all my time on my strat in position 4. Not too much treble, not too much bass, and idk, it's just soulful! :)
@Guitar1hero23 no thats part of the charicter son!!! you want a fender thats beat to hell and has arm wear on it like SRV fender. it wasnt gorgeous but damn its cooler the way it is now then the way it was wen he bought it.
@musicPMA you know that srv was one of the best maybe THE best blues player that ever lived, and this is his signature guitar, so is it weird that he plays the blues (i personally love the blues)
@sify11 its left handed because vaughan had a strat that had a lefty trem, therefor the signature has it. i think its cool, doesnt get in the way or change anything.
Hey Greg, I have to say at this point, that you're videos are a great reference for the guitars I'm buying presently. After seeing this, and the other (SRV model), I got one. I'm using the GHS 10-38 set, and I noticed that if you bring those Texas Specials almost flush with the pickguard,
After hearing that thing, yup, I got one. Currently playing it with GHS 10-38's, and
the pickups almost flush with the pickguard. I Still think the Buddy Guy is the shit though, with the 57/62's and the Dunlop 6000's. Keep up the great videos,
I agree about a lower pick-up placement for Texas Specials but do you think perhaps that is because they sound a bit too bright and brittle to begin with? Analysis of SVR's guitars showed that they didn't have extra wound pick-ups (despite promotional efforts to the contrary). I do think thicker strings and stronger right hand technique do a lot to reveal a different kind of tone. The thicker the better, depending on hand strength.
How does it work the whammy bar? I mean does it feel easier or harder to play it?

Great playing! You remind me of Scofield. Yuo play with the rhythm in a very intersting way. I am going to steal some licks.

I vibe your playing soo much! you're amazing.
amazing, but not about to like.. play a trillion notes in 5 seconds to try and get a "point" across.
so sparse and sweet. love it.
