Question: How safe is it to travel alone (female) and should you book in advance at the hostels and guesthouses? Thanks :)

@TheMadDane Safe? i think is not sooo safe is better u get some friends to come here, 5 peoples is sefa or 2 but just one (female) alone? i think nots good in Rio de Janeiro in São Paulo is safe no problem, hotels? have a aaa lot it u get for internet :) if u may more tips tell me! bye

just be careful because of mosquitos. i was there,and every damn island (and Brazil has a LOT of them ) I didn`t catch any infection but I had alergy for a month and after a year some stings still can bee seen.

the eggs are transmitted thru mesquitos and the larva grows under your skin and you have to suffocate them and pull them out they r gross
