I just really want to thank you! i heard this song on radio for first time,today, and liked it ...figured it was easy figured it was on a capo after trying it but whatt drove me nuts was I really don't know name of chords when I've used capo...so thank you for filling me in ! @Jenn0246 Strumming patterns do not make this song. You can play it in half or whole notes. As long as they work with in the measure. You can have all down strokes or up and down. It does not matter. The way she plays it I am not sure, havent seen her live. I suggest listening to the song and you can hear what is being played.

Yes you can play without it, If your voice deeper I would probably put it on the 3rd fret. Or you can play open chords without the capo, you'll be a couple octaves lower though but you can hear the song come through.

you don't need a capo, but if you want is to sound like the radio you will. The capo kind of changes the octave you sing in, so if you are singing it with out you will need to sing a couple ovtaves lower than she does.

I use Elixir Custom Lights. At the time of this vid, I had mediums which made it a lot harder to do barre chords. The lights are much easier to play. You should try them out.
