he's incorrect on one thing, saying Namo Amitabha! once with pure faith and chanting the pureland sutra's will allow you to be born into Amitabha;s pureland after death to learn the dharma and then to acheive enlightenment, this was stated in the smaller sutra.
today i talked with my mother who has visited a medium , in the seance an old teacher of mine apeared ( he was something like my first guru , i was 17 he was 65 and he introduced me into psychedelic experience and budhism ) .
and know he is dead since 2002 , i asked where he is and he answered i ´ve to stay here and walk through a lot of hellfire i have done many wrong things , he asked my mother for mercy , and several times he apears in dreams very sad always crying, may each think for himself
Gotta give props to Professor Shebab for being the one who put this out on his Baraka Foundation label sampler "The Observation Of Ruins" and to Obsolete for the backing audio. Great RAW quote, all the more poignant now that he's left us behind.
After listening to everyone's problems all day, listening to the news, the city's noise, it's so nice to lay back and listen to Robert Anton Wilson. He makes me feel so calm and encouraged.
all i was saying was maybe the mechanistic proccesses are a part of or themselves are doing things that we would refuse to believe for a generation or whatever.
@AClarke2007 i'm a winner, see, winners express the fact to doubters of it always. ha ha,... but, really.... i am a winner!, iaaw! iaaw! iaaw! iaaw!, i a a doppleganger you, winner!... that was a super spell from the forests of azure, enjoy cause your a winner now to, like debbie gibbson.
@AClarke2007 laughter is a mechanistic process, ok, i say that mechanistic processes are doing things we would refuse to believ as anything less then magic supernatural stuff, even after explained to us, kind of like a web of apearantly undetectable stuff holding all of the universe in suspended swirling motions and what not. it's called space, and there wasn't a non-shaman or sane person in the world who would believe such jibberish just 140 years ago. see
@AClarke2007 you say, " At last we can agree with each other that transcendence has become more of a tedious art." and i agree, but chosing for it to not be a tedious art and more of a mysterious art allows for the imagination to re-boot from the dumbing down caused by contrived culture. it's easy to choose to make transcendance/life-itself not tedious, if you keep making it easier over time, remebering patience.
I been watching alot of Robert's videos all over youtube... No offense but this is probably the most obsured out of all of them. But hey I'll give it a try :D
@natmanprime It is Jodo Shinshu that he means or also known as Shin Buddhism. A very beautiful spiritual path. Faith is given over by Amida the Primordial Buddha :)
Nichiren Buddhism, also says you do not have to believe, saying Nam Myoho Renge Kyo once eventually leads to enlightenment. - compassionate as Amida , it says if you practice diligently you can attain enlightenment THIS LIFETIME. Nichiren preached that we did not rely on something (like Amida ) outside oneself, but the object of worship is NOT outside oneself. Amida followers and govt forces tried to kill Nichiren and exile him. Amida followers do not seem so compassionate
@wizard11123 Yes but Honen spoke out against the nembutsu followers who killed others. Same with Shinran, he was against killing. In Nichiren Buddhism though it is a bit dogmatic that is why SGI is telling everyone that only Nichiren's Buddhism is true buddhism. As if people like Thich Nhat hanh and others are not practicing true buddhism. That is dogmatic and dogmatism leads to hypocracy.
@wizard11123 hmm your half correct. Firstly many nembutsu, zen, shingon, tendai and nichiren followers were violent against eachother. Much of Nichirens teachings against other sects were quite harsh. Shinran Shonin was against killing or harming over dogma. I find Shinran Shonin to be even deeper, but thats my opinion. Namu Amida butsu
you dont actually know who is illuminati or not, its fucked up to think that some of these people who say they are anti-nwo cud be brainwashing us and complicating our minds. All the illuminati do is infiltrate both sides including the opposition to them and distort, distort, distort. many of us are convinced and anticipating something. Theres 100 sides to the coin. All we can do is cram the information with determination and record it. RESEARCH! before its too late
I don't think we can know who is Illuminati or not, but I dont think it's important either. All this freemason stuff is blinding us from the importance of true concious awakening and seeing that they are controlling our persons(DNI and all those papers that you think is you, but they aren't), but you as a human being are free since you were born and they are trying to take that freedom away with laws and papers and nobody even thinks in that. Peace
just what or who are illumis anyway, some pretty famous and popular artists had been part of that brotherhoods, schiller have been part of brotherhood too, and still so many love him while saying they hate this or that brotherhood. illus, just dust in time.
@opn23 for sake of argument i would know in my mind that in the back of my head i was saying big bird, and in my mind i would know that that phrase namu amida butsu means more to me, then the big bird, and the meaning or the relationship with myself and the words would hold more value in my human mind. so i disagree to a small extent but i like your thinking
Amida is always saving beings regardless of whether you heard his name or not. Namu Amida Butsu is said to reassure the follower that Amida is working in his life but really Amida vowed to save all lifes regardless. hope this answers your question.
Well, thanks for posting this. Very interesting to hear RAW talking about Shin Buddhism. I read a lot of his stuff when I was younger, and am now an ordained Buddhist Priest.
So -to correct a couple of doctrinal points:
Shinran said it was *faith* that you needed to attain rebirth. And that you don't even need to recite the name - although recitation springs naturally from the mind of faith.
It was Ippen, another of Honen's disciples that said the recitation alone was enough.
sorry alter i removed your comment instead of replying to your comment so sorry.....I have verbal dyslexia...i constantly reverse words and say things in the right context but back to front....you should see the ammount of corrections i have to do when writing were it manifests itself slightly differently....sorry i removed your comment...
it happens..I do have a certain amount of dyslexia as well.. but it usually manifests itself via a directional problem.. and I have to look at words like pictures sort of to remember them.. no worries..:)
Watching this effected my dreams... I was somewhere with sand and there was an unsual Buddah statue.. not very typical even though there were a few typical.. this non-typical I didn't really know it was until I saw people meditating in front of it, because it was small and I dared to pick it up and take a look at it and it was a few more eyes than humanly possible.. on a small fragment..which seemingly was a statue..then I carefully put it back.
...maybe what one reads and what one hears can colaberate an experience within the subconcious mind? I did read that 9 thing, Bradberry stuff.. and if I get the names mispelled.. please forgive me.. my mind isn't coordenated with the names of things.. just what they appear to be, what they smell like, what they sound like and even "feel" like.. but not a lable of letters stuck on them..;)
..maybe it would work if I actually saw colours with words and names but I don't cos that would be the most common version of synstesia and I have an uncommon version of it.
I'm sorry did you somehow get the impression that i was shallow...check out my Lindsey tribute..... why would I want to do that...you seem to have gotten the wrong end of the stick there.

There's no such thing as 1000 reincarnations, if you haven't achieved Nirvana in the earthly period of 2000 years then your soul becomes reset.

RAW clearly liked it because it's the most un-religious religion. It's the least like a religion.
No need for faith, just say a word half heartedly, that's it.

@mrbonsja --why, what is the correct interpretation?
natmanprime 1 year ago
1:00 - "If you say with true faith you will eventually be saved"
mrbonsja 1 year ago
That's Namu Amida Buddhism.
Wilson is favouring Sheen Raan Buddhism, an OFFSHOOT of it.
THIS version does NOT require 'true' faith.
You haven't listened.
You're guilty of precisely what you accuse.
Stop wasting my time.
