  • Nice I have a 3.0 fusion with 2 flowmaster 40s and a steeda intake and it made a huge difference my car sounds like a 350z :-) now only if I would of keeped the tuner :-\

  • was it worth the cost? I was thinking of getting the power pack too.

  • Oh yeah it was, right now i have 3 dyno tunes stored in the Livewire and each tune is adjustable.

  • @Deeeeeeeeee1 doesn't the live wire tuner already come with a tune on it? How are the 3 dyno tunes different?

  • It was a pre tune but its not for the fusion its for a mustang, there is a section called Custom tune that holds 3 dyno tunes, i had my car dyno'd at a performance shop and they downloaded 3 different tunes under the Custom tune slot, plus the livewire keeps your Stock tune if you want to return to stock.

  • i dont mean to bust ur balls so much, but STEEDA claims to have SEEN a 40hp gain, unless you have proof, it means nothing, and that graph means nothing, they can doctor them... fusions are nice, but there not made to race or go fast.. but they are fords most reliable car right now, i havent had one come in the shop with problems yet, and theyve been out for 3 years..

  • I know what you mean, but with everything else i have done plus the tune which they recommend for those numbers it came out perfect on the tuner, see this tuner has a horse power / torque graph witch they say is not acorate if you spin your tires when i had a good lunch without wheel spin it read 261hp235tq.

  • nothing will be accurate unless you get it on a dyno.. or, get on the high way and punch it, cause those wheels wont break free at speed.. dont get me wrong, its nice to see someone work on a Fusion, cause you dont see it all that often, but your getting mixed up on things and im trying to correct you. such as rev limiter.. when in drive, there isnt a limiter persay, the limiter is the shift point, and if you have the pedal pinned, it will shift at redline anyways because it puts it in open loop

  • ugg newbs... you DO NOT have to use 93 octane, if you do it means your not tuning your air/fuel ratio the right way causing pinging.. the engines that require 93 are usually high compression engines and engines with forced induction (turbo/supercharger).... and becareful taking out your cat(s).. its now a FEDERAL offense

  • Well dude i had to use 93 octane for this tune to get the max hp gain, which SCT recommended, and it dont matter if you have high compression to run 93 octane, thats why i had to use 93, cause the spark timeing air and fuel ratio is all advance for more power.

  • exactly what i said.. which is stupid, cause you advance the timing which makes it ping.. the only reason they tell you to use 93 is so u dont get the ping.. and yes it does matter if you have a high compression engine or forced induction engine.. try running 87 in an SRT4.. it wont run.

  • Ya Im looking at this too for my 2001 v6 stang. Is it hard to install?

  • Its really easy, when you order the tuner through STEEDA they load the tune for your car at the factory then they ship it out to you, all you have to do is plug it into your OBD2 and download the tune it takes only 10 minutes start your car and thats it.

  • Sweet thanks!

  • im thinking about getting this. is it worth it? what all does it do?

  • Yes its a very big difference, but you must have the steeda cold air atleast, thats a 31 HP gain my set up is 40 HP gain i have the Magnaflow catback, im at 261 HP right now. The tuner removed the speed limiter, i have to use 93 octane, and i can change the air to fuel ratio and shift points 1 through 6 gear. and more lol.

  • damn. Well I have a 08 Mustang GT automatic, stock to the bone. I wanted to do something to make it more powerful. Even though its got 300 HP, Ive lost a couple of times racing. Ive heard this is one of the best

  • you are not getting 40hp from an intake.. ill tell you that right now, no chance in hell especially on these engines.. the computers on these are riddiculous.. and if u have a tuner y the hell dont you increse the rev limiter????

  • You do realize that the computer thats in the video is a tuner right? No shit a intake is gonna get me 40hp, its because of the dyno tune downloaded from the computer to my car is why i have 40hp. And i have the car set to shift gears at 6400 RPM thats when the horse power peaks, the rev limiter is 7000 RPM but the computer wont allow the engine to hit that, unless im burning out.

  • nope, rev limiter only kicks in if the car is in park or neutral.. i work for Ford man, i know these cars... STEEDA and you claim that the intake gives you 40hp.. which just isnt possible.. even a catback wont get you that much.. eliminating the cat would do a lot, but on these theres more than one i believe..
