i remember i used to do this alot with my paladin...tho i pulled that area + the other side and all the mobs down the slope. used a trinket that gave you life when you blocked for 20 sec, + the engineering shield with spikes.. think i did 4k-5k aoe dps or so..t6 geared... paladin class is op when it comes to solo aoe...=S

yes you could use that trinket at a lower level - however once you hit lvl 80, the damage it does will is much lower than your normal swipe/mangle attacks, and you'll be using higher level trinkets anyway for mitigation or extra damage, depending on the rest of your gear.

Create a macro like

#showtooltip

/cast Swipe

/cast Maul

and replace your normal swipe with this macro.

- thats it. Because maul is not on the GCD you can do it. I changed it around a little for wrath, so I have maul in less attacks, since I often dont have the rage in instances. But if you're aoeing a lot of mobs, you should always have enough rage.

Naitheya - I never use lacerate when aoeing like this - there usually isn't time. Its better for single target, or when you're tanking 2 or 3 mobs only.

Yupyupalex - not too much gold now that wrath is out. Pre-wrath, with cloth, silver, greens & arcane tomes - maybe around 5g per pull.
