I first played this game when I was 18 and a freshman in college. I got it almost two years after it came out (it was a Christmas present in 2001 as I know the game was first released in February 2000). I thought it was really cool at the time and spent the entire summer break right after my first year of college always playing it. I finally got tired of it three years later and traded it in four years after I got it. Now I have The Sims 2 and find it to be so much superior to the original game.
