I sure would like to know what all those kanji mean! :D Contrary to what everyone seems to think this piece of music is called "(Das) Lied der Deutschen". Its melody predates the lyrics by many decades and no verse is forbidden or really "nazi", since even the lyrics are from about 1840 and the melody is actually an austrian uh.. (my english sucks) 'emperor-anthem' from the 18th century. It is true however that the first verse was sung on offizial occasions (fallowed by the "horst-wessel-lied").

Das Deutschland Lied besteht aus drei Strophen, und waren alle 3 zusammen seit der Weimarer Republik die deutsche Nationalhymne. Nach 45 hat man nur noch die 3te gesungen und seit 1990 ist nur noch die 3te die deutsche Nationalhymne.

When I was middle high school student, I was trombone player. Whenever I was in music room, I used to see the historical chart of great music composer with their portrates. Back,Handel,Haydn,Mozart,Beethoven,Waber,Rossini......etc. My best favorable composer was Haydn. Because his face is so cool and looked good with heir piece. I deeply respect to Garman people 'cause you have excellent national song composed by him. It is so cool, so envious, so nice.

Die Hymne wurde lange VOR dem Nationalsozialismus geschrieben und gesungen, das "über alles" bezieht sich auf die Zeit als die deutsche Umgebung noch aus verschiedenen unabhängigen Einzelstaaten bestand und dann später zu "einem land (Deutschland)" wurde. Das ist mit "über alles" gemeint und nicht das was du denkst. Sowas steht auch in jedem Geschichtsbuch also schau nach!!

Joseph Haydn respected UK's anthem and composed this. it's really solemn and amazing anthem. Germany is excellent for classical music(like J.S.Bach and L.v.Beethoven) and philosophy(like I.Kant and G.W.F.Hegel),flexible and large structure of German language's grammer, and Luther's generous Protestantism.
Außerdem....die deutsche Nationalhymne besteht heute nur noch aus der letzten Strophe. Die ersten beiden Strophen sind nicht mehr in Gebrauch und soweit ich weis auch verboten. Der großteil der Deutschen kennen nicht einmal mehr den Text der ersten beiden Strophen. Man sollte das schnell ändern. Auch wenn mich hier wahrscheinlich keiner versteht^^.
Für all die ungebildeten, urteilbildenden. Das 3. Reich gibt es seit über 50 Jahren nicht mehr. Wir Deutschen haben aus unserer Geschichte gelernt! Natürlich gibt es dumme Menschen in Deutschland, die an den alten "Werten" festhalten, aber die gibt es überall. Die Mehrheit der Deutschen verurteilt was in der Vergangenheit passiert ist. @PowerCrumb45 It's not used for official occasions, but otherwise the first stanza is just fine and you can still hear people both young and old in the crowd sing it anyway at sporting events.
Everyone else gets to declare their loyalty to their country through the national anthem, so I don't see why Germans should be embarrassed or disgraced by it, even if a disgusting regime of the past used it for their own nefarious purposes.

@chockn oh well, i`m german and this is the third verse of the german national anthem! the first and second verse are used nowadays ;) it begins with "einigkeit und recht und freiheit" (Unity and right and freedom) this old anthem begins with "deutschland, deutschland über alles" it means something like "germany is the best thing the world has ever seen and has to be defendet award at all" sry for my bad english xD so.... educate yourself!

@japabiklmuk die offizielle deutsche hymne hat 3 strophen. gesungen wird die dritte und nicht die erste samt zweite. die ersten beiden sind weder verboten noch irgendwie sonst unerlaubt. bei offiziellen anlässen wird aber nur die dritte gesungen. alle drei strophen sind alt und das lied gabs schon vor der zeit des dritten reiches. wer hat dir denn beigebracht das irgendwas verboten sei? das ist schlichtweg falsch. entschuldige wenn ich etwas aggresiv herüberkam

Die Hymne wurde lange VOR dem Nationalsozialismus geschrieben und gesungen, das "über alles" bezieht sich auf die Zeit als die deutsche Umgebung noch aus verschiedenen unabhängigen Einzelstaaten bestand und dann später zu "einem land (Deutschland)" wurde. Das ist mit "über alles" gemeint und nicht das was du denkst. Sowas steht auch in jedem Geschichtsbuch also schau nach!!

Joseph Haydn respected UK's anthem and composed this. it's really solemn and amazing anthem. Germany is excellent for classical music(like J.S.Bach and L.v.Beethoven) and philosophy(like I.Kant and G.W.F.Hegel),flexible and large structure of German language's grammer, and Luther's generous Protestantism.

Außerdem....die deutsche Nationalhymne besteht heute nur noch aus der letzten Strophe. Die ersten beiden Strophen sind nicht mehr in Gebrauch und soweit ich weis auch verboten. Der großteil der Deutschen kennen nicht einmal mehr den Text der ersten beiden Strophen. Man sollte das schnell ändern. Auch wenn mich hier wahrscheinlich keiner versteht^^.

Für all die ungebildeten, urteilbildenden. Das 3. Reich gibt es seit über 50 Jahren nicht mehr. Wir Deutschen haben aus unserer Geschichte gelernt! Natürlich gibt es dumme Menschen in Deutschland, die an den alten "Werten" festhalten, aber die gibt es überall. Die Mehrheit der Deutschen verurteilt was in der Vergangenheit passiert ist. Man darf due heutige Generation nicht für das verantwortlich machen, dass andere begangen haben. Wir wissen es besser.

そもそも国家を論じるのではなく国歌の動画でしょこれ・・・
文化慣習など良いところも沢山あると思うし、どこの国もそうだけど国家と国民は切り離して考えるべきだと思いますが・・・

they got the first verse here which is forbidden in Germany.
the choir sings "Deutschland über alles" (=Germany above all other things)
The Nazis used that for their propaganda and interpreted it like "Germany above all other races"
So today we don't sing that verse anymore in Germany.
But actually the hymn is much older than the Nazi-Regime and the original interpretation was like "Germany is above everything TO ME" or "Germany is most important TO ME... "

@PowerCrumb45 It's not used for official occasions, but otherwise the first stanza is just fine and you can still hear people both young and old in the crowd sing it anyway at sporting events.
Everyone else gets to declare their loyalty to their country through the national anthem, so I don't see why Germans should be embarrassed or disgraced by it, even if a disgusting regime of the past used it for their own nefarious purposes.

日本人云々よりもまず、人間としての誇り、強さを個々人が持った方が良いんじゃないんでしょうか？
右翼も左翼も国や民族ないしは組織やイデオロギーという権力にアイデンティティーを求めているが、それは既に誰かが言った考えに依存し、自分から新しい視点で見るのを放棄しているようにどちらも見える。
今の時代、右だとか左とかで法や政治、経済はもうほとんど動いてないし、右翼、左翼と善悪二元論的に分けて互いが政策的にでなく、政局的に攻撃しあうのは20世紀の遺物でしかない。

Ich hätte gerne das Lied "Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland" als inoffizielle Hymne aller Deutschen egal welcher Nation. Die hat irgendwie mehr Pfeffer. Das nur mal als völlig unpassender Kommentar. ;-D
Sucht das Video ruhig mal. Am besten finde ich bis jetzt die Version die "felixdeus" hoch geladen hat. Das findet ihr in meinem Kanal unter "Liedgut". Informiert mich wenn ihr eine Version des Liedes findet die sich besser anhört.
