I really dont get the tree part. why did ti moune became a tree. then later on she was alive again or something then she got along with daniel again, i think it was their children right?

the tree is symbolic, it wasn't their children, it was his son and a peasant girl, just like daniel and ti moune. it's supposed to be setting up for a happy ending this time (with daniel's son and a peasant girl).

no she was turned into a tree in front of the hotel that had cracked the gates. and daniel's children would play under it and one day his son found a peasant girl in the tree and the spirit of ti moune set their love free.
