  • I ABSOLUTELY love that industrial - style station!

  • do they use the truck in the middle

  • not often thats one of the Hazmat units

  • whats the adress of the fs and what state is it in

  • It is in Newark, New Jersey. And I'll get back to you on the address.

  • Is there a reason for Newark's trucks to be yellow?

  • The drug dealers signed an agreement with the city NOT to fire on any vehicles painted yellow. So firetrucks and cabs get a free pass in Newark

  • Wow thnx for sharing that .

    that is some good info

  • lol. why didnt they just sign a deal not to shoot at anything?

  • They're actually more green looking. Lime-yellow was a fire apparatus color in the 1970s when studies were done that showed the color to be more visible in more conditions than red is. Of course now with reflective striping and every truck being lit up like a friggin' Christmas tree because of the NFPA and sound-proofed cars, apparatus color is sort of irrelevant. Newark actually briefly went to white and blue, but IIRC, they're going to red now. Green is still somewhat common.

  • anyone know what the ohter truck in the sation is is that a spare or an engine
