The movies both sucked, but I will tell you this. If the movies were actually following the orginal story line Street Fighter would give a serious level of competition to Mortal Combat but Mortal would win out because of Raiden and possibly Shang Sun if I spelled his name correct.

Seems like I'm the only person in the world who enjoyed Street FIghter. I really don't think it's as bad as everyone says. I liked Mortal Kombat, though it was often terribly cheesy, with horrible dialogue and lack of star power. I would consider it bad if it weren't for the martial arts choreography and wonderful set design.

Street Fighter had a lot to ask for... they tried to put as many characters as they can but is not fun watching ken doing just one misserable (LP)shoryuken and Ryu a Hadoken that you couldn't even tell what the heck that was... Mortal kombat did have more real action with the characters from my perspective... it wasn't just random fights like street fighter movie... even though I'm a big fan of SF.
