You are so deluded! In a Capitalist economy we can get things for free. But to truly be free is to be free from economic oppression. Forget all the nonesense you heard from those tea baggers.
I attend a community based healthcare clinic. At a sliding scale I only pay $15 a visit--including blood tests, and the staff and doctors are great.
I would never go back to a private doctor ever again. If you like spending lots of money, support those greedy insurance companies-
@lees20022 no we don't...some of us keep our belief system of equality throughout our lives without having to compromise what we believe because of a political party or neo conservative media source tells me to...I could make a generalization about you being old and white but I wont though most of my assertions would be spot on.
@lees20022 I live in Palo Alto, California, one of the wealthiest towns on the planet. This silicon valley town houses some of the greatest educators and schooling programs in history. People literally come here from all over the world to go to our schools. Silicon valley is also liberal. We are one of the strongest contributers to Obama's win in California. I mean, come on. the tea party's main source (70%) is Fox News. They are very stupid people.
@emsportfishing That's funny because most liberal protesters are either students or hard working middle class. I only go to protests between classes or when I don't need to work or study. The hoard working middle class are mostly scared of getting laid off and losing health care for their family's. Trust me if you are to lazy to get a job you don't care much about politics. Oh and in the sixties most of those lazy hippies were college students.
Medicare is a form of national health. Universal Healthcare works in the same way, but instead of having to reach 65 you are covered at any age. Collectively, it is more economical than the high costs insurance companies are making.
And before you judge me, I ask that you see for yourself. Go to England or Canada for a little while, make some appointments, and if you have any problem with Universal Health care, respond and tell me your experience.
You know I don't think you understand how National Health works. And I'm not here to pick a fight. From experience in England, National Health is nothing to worry about. All the scare mongering that goes on over National Health is not true. As a person who has worked in the National Healthcare Service, the cost of National Health collectively is more affordable than all than Private Insurance combined.
There is no rationing, and if you u are really sick u get treated soon.
so just because something worked in the 60's means that it will work 50 years later when technology, government, media and public perception has totally changed?
haha, i think it's funny when people go to a protest and act surprised when someone shows up with an opposing view point. what's better than that is, people still think that protesting does anything at all. ::sigh:: oh well, thanks for the video though!
