I just love how unlike most singers on that show chris likes to show off his lower range at times with this one and a little less conversation. it seems like nowadays all anyone wants to do is scream their heads off and crack wine glasses with how high they wanna sing lol. as a bass myself its really refreshing to hear an artist do something like that =]

I was really shocked when he got voted off! He was my favorite and he had the talent to back it up. Looking back on it now, it seems like a blessing. Unlike most of the Idol types (Kelly Clarkson and Underwood excluded) he's selling millions of records and I get to hear him on the radio all the time!

I only know a couple of American Idol winners who really made it big time-- Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood but that's just what I know. Chris got lucky that he didn't win or his career would have been in the gutter before he signed his recording contract with Simon C.

@SREED8503 Well, what happened was everyone thought that he was going to be safe, so they voted for everyone else. And it was a big shock for them. So, basically it was a huge accident, and mistake. He got a recording company EASILY though :)

But I didn't see where he gave anyone else any credit for this version. Truth be told, seems to me he completely COPIED Live.
