  • I loved it! But then, I probably love every version of "Message in a Bottle" that Sting ever did - it's such a timeless masterpiece!

  • Sting in ur living room with a cup of rosie to follow! what a joy.

  • Sting's compositional talent is up there with Lennon and McCartney. His voice is uniquely brilliant and his bass playing is underrated.I was listening to his bassline on "Spirits"and its an incredible take on the song.A maverick genius who doesnt settle for formula!!

  • (cries)knows enough to remember amnesty intrernational(cries feels so weak ut will always come running

  • o mercy we love u Sting.....so beautiful it hurts....o.....o wow ty so much for your poetry music and wisdom holy moly so stupid but jeez louise (cries) do u read these? eep just one word from our hero EEP

  • excelente .... mortal ....natural... puro.... haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Where is that high-pitched, almost falsetto , unique voice Sting had? It is lost, lost forever. Nobody could sing like Sting, now, not even Sting can sing like Sting anymore. Compare this with his solo version on the secret police ball...the magic is gone...people like sting should not get old....is is sad to see a star that shone soooo bright, star fading away........but the memory of his golden years is eternal, that is the solace that remains.......ars longa, vita brevis!!!!.

  • He's not god!!! everyone grow old!!

  • @Luloma not me. i just grow tired. LOL.

  • He's singing like that to match the vibe of the song. considering theres only one acoustic in this version.

i seen the Police last year....and believe me...Sting can still sing the exact way he did in the 80's (If not Better!)

  • what are you talking about? he's just singing the song softly... i saw him perform yesterday on a show in my country and he sang like he did back in the old days.

he still got it, make no illusions :)

  • Hahaha... I love when a genius make mistakes. Thank you, Master.

  • c'est très bon...es saboroso...um toque suave que sabe bem no coração...

  • he maybe was when he wrote the song. judging by the words anyway.

  • i like this a lot .. i did a solo guitar version..

  • It's not electric, it's a full acoustic classical..but what model & brand.

  • can i share to my face book ? plis :(

  • awesome =)

  • Amazing! What kind of guitar is that?

  • An electroacustic one! My girlfriend has the same!

  • das coz ur tone deaf buddy

  • That was the most random and bad reply you could have made :).

  • nuttin wrong with random.....as for bad? I was just defending what I believe is worth defending. Thats all. The guitar playin here is class.....Do u Play? u should try replicate this playing if u can and post it on up.....otherwise!

  • I love to unleash incompetent to comment people like you.

  • U said it buddy..."ur a lousy wanker" and that's from the horses mouth. Nuff said now be gone Fool!

  • But other than that, it's a very nice tune... I like it.

  • Sting, one of the most versatile vocalist ever, thanks for all the music!!

  • This song is difficult enough to just play guitar on! To sing it at the same time takes talent!

  • Stings a brilliant composer/musician/singer, most likely if anybody complains about him they are probably really jealous themselves cause i'd like to see them perform with such a high performance skill as him.

  • ur a fag u duche this man is so much more tallented than you he has more talent in one hair of his head than you do in our hole body.

  • Actually he is married and has six children so no, he is not a fag.

  • He is not. But even if he was, so what? Listen to the song and get some confidence about your own sexuality that you don't have to spend time saying silly things about someone else's. Grow up.

  • no mate ur a sperm burping fucktard you wanker

  • I love The Police.

  • very talented man.

  • Good to see the great man back in action after what could only be described as a marathon tour with his biggest project. Cheers Sting! and cheers for posting this. P.S . we haven't had enough Police yet, five albums is only the soup and starter.

  • best comment ive heard all day :)

  • Sting, is that a parlour guitar?

    it looks small.

  • i love this song

  • sting is really a good singer..

  • brilliant!

  • why does everyone have to hate? i think this is really good and besides sting is famous for bass not guitar so give him a break. just enjoy the music.

  • give the fuckin guy a break.hes older now.

  • he plays the piano, too. he's also a composer,no wonder if he plays the guitar. don't be jealous on his talent.

  • people are complaining about stings voice when hes a really good singer and hardly any bands can actualy sing today?

  • And Im still not seeing whats wrong with his voice..If anything Im seeing more problems in the guitar...Still dont care though..Its sting :)

  • dude thanks so much!!!

  • Busted vocal.

  • He honestly doesnt have to be good at the song..Its the pure elemant of him singing and loving the music ...Anybody agree? >.>

  • fuck yea G its all about loving what you do

  • you make a good point

  • God if you people dont appreciate his talent then dont watch it! man sting is good and always will be

  • I LOVE STING

  • such a good song

  • BeastlyNerd,

Listen, try singing when you're old. And plus, people love this song, and he did this for..charity..I forget what the cherrytree house is, but yeah.

Plus, it matters what the lyrics are about, not really how you sing them.

  • love it, thank you for posting.

  • nelly find my message in abottle

  • I hope you all see the reason for this song it's fucking profound....

  • wow he has some nice muscles for an older guy

  • What is the"Cherrytree House"? Is it a particular place or a simple house?!

  • I think it's just a sort of a project, so they can raise money for charity

  • ????

  • 2nd verse sounds off

  • Sting rocks! The Police was one of the best bands, and even when seperated, Sting is still awesome years later!

  • on dirait qu'il sort du lit mdr mais qu'est-ce qu'il dégage !! bravo j'adore. épique.

  • bravissimo!!!!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • needs the bass.

  • beautifull

  • check out my mashup of boom boom pow with muse!

  • Sting is a tool.

  • he has such a different voice but it rocks anyway i miss the bass on this song

  • If Some could not recognise Sting's Voice and his way of singing then its too bad. I am a hard ass Police fan since i was Ten and Outlandos d'Amour came out. A band like the Beatles were way ahead of thier time. Beautiful meaningful, happy music, The canary in a Coal mine, the Voices in my head, the invisiable song, there isnt a bd song that this guy wrote and performed that is not a great fucking song.

  • Yeah, great. But, can 100% FC it?

  • lol!!

  • wow man very well preformed enjoyed it from begining to end 5 stars

  • lol at the people who don't recognize sting. what"s wrong with people?

  • wow. I seriously disagree with many of the posters here. That song was done about as well as any one person with a guitar could do it. The fact that its Sting is of no bearing. Its well done, especially the guitar work.

  • haha if that wasnt sting there people would be talking mad shit. im a sting/police fan and this video just blows. i think hes on mad drugs and messing with his webcam or something. what a joke. just picture some douche doing a sting cover and putting it on youtube and sucking ass. thats what this is.

  • this one sucks!

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • your a fag just shut the hell up, if u knew anything about music then you would know that this is pretty good

  • stinng!!!!!

  • 0_0 sweeet

  • STILING ^^

  • This is good, but i like the original Police version better

  • yep me to

  • He didn't say it too fast, this was just a different arrangement and has different timings than the original.

  • good good

  • nice man

  • HEY THAT LOOKS PRETTY EASY TO PLAY

  • you are one of my top all time favorite performers...AWESOME!!!!

  • he said message in a bottle to fast.

  • man some people just cant write

  • classic rock is the only rock

  • He's still go it!!!!!!!!!!.........

  • Come one come all SEE THE CHEZZY CHICKEN! click moi!

  • The people who like Sting actually go to work...Soulja Boy's hits are from babes.

  • Not quite as good as Soulja Boy's 53,000,000 hits. What's wrong with people, this is REAL music written by a REAL musician. Rock on Sting!

  • ppl who listen 2 hip hop dont even like soulja boy

soulja boy str8 up fake and dumb

  • amazing tune guy !!!!!

  • This is a classic example of three mutli-talented, brilliant guys (Sting, Summers, and Copland ) who as the Police were one of the most amazing trio's I have seen in my life. They really were that good, especially live. on their own, they still have mega talent, but they sound so pale that it really makes you realize what makes a rock - band - great.

  • chimon1982 thinks he is cool. What a loser.

  • nice, calm

  • 3:39 LOL

    but u rock sting

  • you dont know sting chimon? what the fuck is wrong with you ?, damn are future is gonna be fucked

  • Oh no... He probably thinks John Mayer sings the original! HAH!!

    The future is doomed!!!

    Call James! HAHA!

    [S]

  • omg u don't kno who sting is, you lust hav neva been outside your frnt door if u dnt kno him!!

  • are u fucking serious, u dick wab

  • you's trollin!

  • xoxox needs 2 b hit with a bottle must b frm AUCK

  • yeah and if you don't, you'll prove to the world that you are neither a moron, nor a fat, eleven year old girl trying to find 'magic tips for love' over the internet.

    And yes, Sting is great.

  • oh my, that was great. very cool and mellow. so nice

  • sting i love you please get back with the police please. :) The police is awsome. Hope you read this.

  • harmonics and that off soundstrerch

  • sting is still the shit

  • Beautiful...this song always sounded best as a ballad...and sung by sting!

  • all you people saying stuff like "great attempt" and all those other critical statements have absolutely no credentials. This is sting performing HIS song, so "nice try" has no relevance what soever, because no matter what, he wrote the song.

  • w8??? are you saying this to the video of sting? why would he need time hes awesome..

  • what are you talking about? it's his song.

  • hahaha blackbird didnt realise it was actually sting hey?

age has taken hold of the master!

  • what an idiot

  • thats his song!! dude do u not know sting?

  • This is Sting, lol.

  • blackbird...WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?

  • yeah jaja

  • EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • esse cara destrói!

  • queir

  • savage

  • john mayer did an awesome cover of this

  • ew!

  • loser

  • dude..sting was in the police

  • sting was the frontman of the police...

  • technically there wasn't a frontman they all kinda sang

  • The frontman isn't necessarily anyone who sings. In Queen they all sang, but Freddie Mercury is doubtlessly the frontman.

  • NO. DUH.

  • LOL think before you speak
