  • Hiya bud, just a few questions:

-Is it the same backing plate for the iPhone 4S?

-It says out of stock on the site, when will they be back in stock?

-Do you sell the gold screen and back housing?

    Thanks.

  • @B4GR1X

Hi, I will send you a personal message to help you, please check your inbox,

    Neill.

  • cellphonezoneLTD yes I have done a green one before, but note that the colors often fade away or scratch pretty eazy. The real gold plated doesn't, I only have done one real gold plated I few weeks ago

  • @bigiphone4

Hi, that's interesting to know, thanks dude,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • is there a store i can just go to instead of ordering it???

  • @MarkRespress

Hi, there are repair centers that will do this for you, all you can do is find one local to you and see how much they charge,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • 4S version? i'll buy it

  • Neill can u please make another video but first person view? Sometimes I can't see exactly what's going on. Thank you

  • @Gs777Us

Hi, i will try to make a new one in the next couple of weeks as we have a lot going on at the moment, as soon as i catch up i will make a new tutorial with better camera angles as i do understand what you mean, that was one of my first videos so i have learned a lot since then, i will do it again asap.

    thanks for commenting,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • I do like 6 iPhones a week! But never a gold one ahaha mostly black and green

  • @bigiphone4

Hi, Cool, does take a little time but i think it is worth it, and we wanted to show it could be done by most able people, any way 6 a week is quite a lot, and you have made a Green framed iphone?

    Neill.

  • hi there while taking the microphone in the bottom i broke that ribbon piece, what piece would i use to replace? and the volume bottoms and top button on the phone isn't clicking

  • Well, that went well.. Ended up only changing the buttons. Couldn't get the top part out of my old frame.

  • @iAmLarzii

Hi, it is tricky, the video was my second attempt and i can tell you it is not easy,

anyway sorry to here you did'nt get it done, maybe have another go in a few days, just take your time, never rush these things, i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Hello, I have follow every step as directed, everything works fine but the front camera, i double checked to make sure the camera was properly connected and it's but it still doesn't work......Is there any suggestion why this is happening, and if you know to fix this problem how can i fix it...

  • @capricorn87

Hi, it can only be one of two things, first the camera is faulty or you have damaged the motherboard, if i was you i would try to change the camera first, it is not expensive, it only costs $2.92 usd and the product code is 40236, just type the product code into the search bar at the top of our website, and you will be able to see the product, I really hope it is just the camera, and i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD

Thanks for the fast reply, i will proceed to purchase a front camera, if it still doesn't work i guess i will have to take it to a cell phone repair shop...Thanks for the suggestion

  • @capricorn87

Hi, most welcome, and if you need anything else just ask, good luck,

    Neill.

  • can you supply the buttons that click into the back of the new gold ones? im struggling to get the old ones off the old buttons??

  • @chuddy1416

Hi they are not designed to be reused and we supply the stickers in the kits we sell, but if you still need them then go to our website and type in this code number in the search bar at the top of our site, CODE : 40873 there not expensive so don't worry hehehe,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • And you can' t open the sim card anymore!!!!!

  • Hi, I can' t reassemble the power button correctly. I follow all the steps like in your discription but it doesn' t make "click". Please help me, I'm already trying for hours.

  • @jhemp1

Hi, do you mean the mute button or the power on off button, because the power button just goes in the cut out and it is the mute button that has a switch on it with a groove cut in where the switch must sit, with the on off button all you need to do is put the round disk like sticker on the back of the button and just it in the housing, if this does not help then please PM me and i will try to help you,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD

Thx, I solved my problems and everything is fine now but I can't open the sim slot anymore.

  • @jhemp1

Hi that's great news, as for the sim, make sure your motherboard is correctly seated and you have all the screws back in that hold it in the frame, if anything is slightly out of line then you will have difficulty removing the sim, i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD

I actually went back the OEM silver bezel and now I haven't had signal for about 8 hours

  • @DonZuniga707

Hi, i would advise then you take it to a repair center and see what they say, the only other quick thing you could check is your sim works in another iphone 4, sometimes old sims get damaged, thats all i can think,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • After completing the conversion my iPhone has no signal whatsoever. Any ideas to what it may be??

  • @DonZuniga707

Hi that's really strange, i used that middle tray for about 3 months and had no issues with signal, where did you buy the middle tray from?

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD sw-box, although i recently converted back to the oem silver tray. i reassembled everything correctly and still cant manage to receive a signal

  • how does the power button go in? im trying to put mine together and it wont click properly and im not sure what im dong wrong. does the hinge on the power button go on the bottom or top? how does the hinge need to be placed?

  • @IonizeMedia

Hi, this is the hardest part of the change over, The orange line should be on the top when you have finished putting it back together, and if you look very closely you will see on the switch there is a small plastic leaver that operates the switch, and on the inside of the button there will be a grove that the little leaver needs to go in, it is hard to do so take your time, and be patient with it,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Another question is the housing brand new or original? What about the software what does it run on? Thanks Neill.

  • @hotboyme

Hi, your only changing the middle frame, all the components from your original phone goes in the gold frame so the software stays the same, and yes the new frame is brand new,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Does the gold rub off, I want to do a red frame what do you think there are other color ?

  • @hotboyme

Hi the gold will not rub off, but can be scratched off, but that's normal with any coating, as for red on gold should look pretty cool, let me no if you need the links to the products you need and i will send you them,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • what did you use for the extra button on the back to hold them in place

  • @518yourmom

Hi sorry do yoo mean the spacer disk sticker that stick to the back of the on/off button and volume button, if so they come free with the kits we sell, they help get better response when you press the buttons, there like packing disks, i hope this is what you mean, if not let me know,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • my vibrator buttons all messed up and like idk if it fell apart but i cant get it back together so its sitting here in pieces and im kinda pissed would love some help

  • @518yourmom

Hi, this is one of the hardest parts of the change, now if you look closely at the switch and the metal bit that moves the switch you will see they have a certain way they must go together, just take your time and don't worry how long it takes, remember it's not a race, I am certain you can get it back together, unfortunately i work for sw-box and do not do repairs, but please keep trying as it will go back together, anyway i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • I swapped a replacement frame from eBay that did NOT come with the round silver spacer piece that lies underneath the home button on the frame, and also under the pwr/lock button on the button itself. On the 3Gs, I'd use vinyl sticker material cut to small squares to place between the buttons to make them more stiff, however, I want it to be right. Can you heat and remove them from the original frame/button (are they held w/adhesive?) or do you need to buy them seperately, and from where?

  • @CrMo4130

Hi i will send you a personal message to help you, check your youtube account,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Hi, now you have an expensive one in the web page

is that one matte or glossy? (the one in the description $57.62)

  • @tintinV

Hi, i believe its the glossy one as normally if it was the Matte style then it would say in the description,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Comment removed

  • Hi, My friend the link in the description gives me an error, Not Found! i don't know if this is because its out of date and you don't have more available or if its my error? please get back to me i would love to change my iPhone 4 black to gold.

    thank you!

  • @alafif90

Hi, i will send you a personal message with a link to help you, check on your youtube channel,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD Thanks Mate!

  • Hi, i see that you used a shiny gold frame, but in the link in the description it's a matte gold. I can't find the shiny gold frame, will you sell it again?

  • @tintinV

Hi, we may sell it again, it all depends on quality, the matte one is higher quality so we stuck with that,

all i can suggest is to keep checking, thanks for commenting,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • this is a horrible instructional video. you dont even care to explain how to put the screen on the new mid frame and you dont explain how to put all the pieces back together. horrible.

  • @mriverson

    Thanks for your comments,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @mriverson there are plenty of other instructional videos on that part, this is strictly covering the part of swapping parts from frame to frame, he was straight and to the point, stop being lazy and watch some other videos for the parts the rest of us already know to do by heart!

  • @CrMo4130

Hi, thanks for saying that, unfortunately im not allowed to always say what i mean hehehe,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Comment removed

  • this isnt the first time ive had a bad idea.. here we go!

  • @JustBeClever

    Hi, hahaha, good luck,

    Neill.

  • Beautiful! you answered my question b4 i asked. Well done Sir!

  • @unklbyl

Hi, thanks and that's great, i hope the video helped,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • hi there, i bought a gold diamond frame followed your instrucitions, the iphone turns on but the screen is just white ? connects to itunes respondeds to all the buttons but screen stays white, i have removed everything and reinstalled 3 times now still white ? i transfered everything onto the old frame working fine ?

  • @19sonny91

Hi, i will send you a personal message to try and give some help, this chat box is too small,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • like a boss!

  • Hi neill

I've done the whole prosses of switching the middle plate but now when i turn on the phone the screen is just black but everything else seems to work such as getting calls and shutting down the phone.

I got the same problem after switching my 3gs back plate.

Would be super if you could help!!! :)

  • @petterh94

Hi, unfortunately it sounds as though you have damaged the cables to the LCD, it happens when you push them through the main frame, there extremely fragile and your not the first, unfortunately your only option is to replace the front panel, and its quite expensive, or find someone who can repair the cables, sorry to tell you that, i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD

Aldright thanks, ill try ro change it, if that doesn't helt could there be any other problem that i might have missed?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey! I'm not sure if I missed it or not but what were the little sticky pads for that your supposed to put on the volume buttons? Did you put them on? Thanks!

  • @DrSinister4577

Hi, they are to help connection when you press the buttons, in short they are spacers, if your buttons have no problems when you press them then don't worry, but keep them maybe later on you will need them, i hope this helps,

    Kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Dear Neill,

I'm stuck with the home button. Should the connector click onto the data/recharger port? Best regards, Kevin

  • @kevinzwerts

Hi Kevin, yes there's a little leaver you need to lift up, to release the cable, then when you refit the cable push it back in to the port and click the leaver back down, i will send you another video in your personal messages to your youtube channel, i make a pink iphone 4, but the video is a little easier to follow, and shows better detail with the home button,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD anyway i could also get that video of the pink iphone too it'd help thanks:)

  • The frame is also the antenna, isn't it? And when you switched on the phone, you must have seen the signal strength...

@ ALL: What was your experiance?

  • @kevinzwerts

Hi, i have spoke to my boss, we made his iphone 4 gold, he had it for 3 months and said there was no problem with signals,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Dear Neill,

Before I'm going to get this (and do all the work) I would like to know if the signal will still be the same, as with my telecom provider the internet speeds are verry low already. Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards, kevin

  • @kevinzwerts

    Hi, kevin,

as far as i know there is no problem with the signal when you change the main frame, its just a frame so i would guess not, but i cannot say for certain, i have never tested this, sorry i can not give you the answer your hoping for, i would say 95% sure it will not affect the signal but im not 100% sure, sorry,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Hello,

Im assembling my iphone 4 but I cant get the power button correctly assembled as when I place it and get the flex put on and the 2 screws I feel a glap when I push it.

Im not sure what Im doing wrong, does it have to be placed in a special way? Im placing it with the rib down, what function does the rib have? (rib or whatever its called)

    thank you

  • @viktorMZY

Hi, its been about 6 months since i made that video so i cant 100% be sure what way to put it, i think its down, as for the gap, with the set you get, there are some round disk like stickers, one is to go on the back of the home button, one is to go on the sleep button, and two are for the volume buttons, put the sticker on the sleep button, this should fill the gap and make for a better connection,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • @viktorMZY Did your replacement kit include little round stickers? They get stuck to the back of the buttons to take away the play that you're feeling before it clicks down on the button... I get spare pieces of vinyl stickers and cut out small squares with my knife and sometimes stack them 1-4 pieces to take away the gap and make the button feel very firm and clicky....

  • I just received this I have no idea where to put the little stickers for the buttons. So I have the 3 parts in the bag and then four little metal sticker buttons. There are two really small sticker-buttons, then one slightly larger circle sticker and then one larger smaller sticker. Where and how do I fit the stickers? Do I put the two smaller ones on each side of the volume button and then the second larger one for the home button and the largest one for ringer button? please help. Thanks

  • @uj10278

Hi, ok so you are right but the biggest one goes on the home button then the next size down goes on the sleep button then the last two go on the volume button, they are there only to ensure connection,

    i hope this helps,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD thanks for the help. just one question. does the vibrate button have two little stickers go on it as well? Also for the home button if I am using the original home button I had I can just ignore the sticker for the home button right?Or is there a new contact point on the midframe I have to put the sticker?

  • @uj10278

Hi, as far as i can remember no the vibrate button does not have any stickers,

now with the home button i think all the stickers are just there in case they don't connect very well, try without the sticker, if you find you have a problem then take it apart again and fit it, its not that much work to change the home button,

anyway, i hope this helps and good luck!!!!!

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Comment removed

  • Ey, the vibrate/mute switch was placed the wrong way, wasn't it? Because mine is the complete opposite of this one.

  • @iLarzii

Hi, yes i did place it round the wrong way, hehehe, glad you noticed, when i get time i will try to make a new video,

    thanks for your comments,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • @cellphonezoneLTD Hehe, just thought I'd let you know, if you hadn't noticed already :) It looks sick anyways, I'm ordering the gold frame next week! :)

  • @iLarzii

Hi, no probs, and good luck with your install,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • Hey thinking bout ordering but which is better the matte or regular and does the gold fade

  • @Freakyzeke88

    Hi, thanks for your comments,

i am not sure what one is better, but our gold will not fade, but can be scratched so be careful,

    i hope this helps

    kind regards,

    Neill.

  • Sack your camera man, couldn't see a thing that you were doing

  • @MrNPM81

    Hi, thanks for your comments,

we are looking into buying a head cam, its not the camera man, its the angle is wrong,

but sorry it did not help you,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • Hey my iphone 4 dosent detect the charger and its not charging the device what should i do please respond

  • @Gomezalejandrom

Hi, it can be one of two problems, 1 = your battery is worn out, 2 = your Connector Charger Port is not working,

now i can give you both product codes for our web site, but unfortunately i cant tell you which one to buy, or it might me both but i doubt that, ok so the battery code is 39449, and the connector charger port is 39352,

both items are only $6USD each, so its not all bad, hehehe,

    ok i hope this helps,

    thanks for your comments,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • HI, bought this item and I put everything to the gold plate step by step like in the vid and the sim card tray that pop the sim out is jammed in the original plate... I need to know what to do and it's not shown in the vid.

  • @cbmb21

Hi, I would say that there is dirt and dust stuck in it, maybe you can try to use the sim remover is a circular motion and also maybe blow around the sim tray, that is all i would do, theres not much that can hold it in but i had the same problem with my iphone 3, when i got it out there was grit and dust all round the sim tray housing,

anyway i hope this helps if not let me know, and i will try to help,

    thanks for your comments

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • Do the parts have any adhesive backing to them? Do I need to buy the adhesive somewhere else because it's not for sale on your site.

  • I don't know which one I have, the screws at the bottom are like little stars :L but it's under £50 which sounds reasonable if it includes labour+parts cost??

Pls can u send me a contact number and and address...?

    Thanks

  • @vayep

Hi m8, if your phone is around or under 1 years old then it will be the pentalobe screw driver you need,

if they look like little stars then im sure you have the pentalobe model, also we do not do the conversions, we only sell the parts, i make the videos to teach our customers how to install the products or replace broken parts, if you visit our website then at the top of the page you can see our live chat option, the girls are really helpful,

    good luck,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • how much would it cost to get my iphone 4 (black) converted to one like this but without the whit, just gold middle??

i also live in the uk if that helps (can tell by ur accent :P)

  • @vayep

Hi m8, yeah white is more for girls if you ask me, so you made the right choice, now if your iphone is a penalobe then including a pentalobe screw driver and a full set of spare screws it will be $81.78 US dollers,

if its the phillips version then with spare screws and phillips screw driver it will be $77.30 USD, you need to add shipping to this but this price includes everything you need to make it gold, good luck m8, and thanks for spotting the UK accent,

    kind regards

    Neill.

  • how much would it cost to get my iphone 4 (black) converted to one like this but without the whit, just gold middle??

  • looks really sleek.

but i rather do vinyl stickers than the whole replacement :p

  • Epic fail on reinstalling the silent switch. Other than that it looks absolutely amazing! I've always thought of a white iPhone 4 with a gold antenna. Looks great but I think it's a bit feminine...

  • @SUPERFORMIAN After you said that I just felt it, it is a little feminine. Maybe black+gold looks better than white for male. Thanks for your comment.

  • And thank you for your opinion :)

  • any signal loss?

  • 99 dollars inc. return

  • hi, i much would you charge me to do that for me let me know i will ship my phone out to you ASAP. THANKS

  • @GP1890 Sorry, we just sell the replacement parts and accessories for cellphone without installation. Thanks for comment.

  • @GP1890

I will do this for you at a 25 dollar fee plus the cost of the part

Hope to hear back about this offer
