@ktyree1 If you ever get a chance, listen to "Brazil" and you can hear the "Philly Sound" all throughout the album. I recommend the tunes "Peanut Vendor", "Frenesi" and the title tune. And let me kow if you do.
@ktyree1 I don't know. I do know that Zack Zachery played mostly with MFSB. He may have played with Vince Montana and his Orchestra, but if you remember The Ritchie Family's album "Brazil" from 1975, I'm thinking that was either the Salsoul Orchestra or MFSB. Because the album was also recorded in the same studio (Sigma Sound in Philadelphia). John Bonnie may have played with either one of the groups that I mentioned. I wish I could have given you a better answer.
@customkey Zack Zachery was truly the heart and soul of MFSB. And he really shines on the tune "South Philly" which was written by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff.
@customkey "South Philly" is one of those tunes that you can kick back with your lady and have a drink and dim the lights and get nice and mellow (and if you like, you can take it to the bedroom).
thank you philadelphia. thank u gamble and huff u two guys put the bow tie on funk and soul love it such a classy sound the whole phila thing. oh yea i just have to mention vincent montana jr. i know u guys know him lol

This song was used as a Big Deal of the Day prize cue on the 1980 version of Let's Make A Deal (Canada).
Wonder what Wayne Brady would think about this piece of trivia?

I really love that Gamble and Huff sound and Philadelphia International Records.
They gave us Billy Paul, MFSB, The Three Degrees and other great songs of the 70's. Sexy was not a big hit but I always loved it.
Now I will scour You Tube for Billy Paul's "Me and Mrs. Jones".
