In Texas, an election judge has the final authority in matters of the polling location.

Before the founders idea that people could chose their own leaders, countries were mainly run by people w/ inherited positions or who took power by force. The issue is not to make sure "every vote is counted." Instead, the issue is to make sure that every legal vote is counted. My right to vote includes the right to have it not diluted by people who should not be voting, by people who vote twice, or by votes from people that don't even exist.
Please note that in many states (including my state of Texas) it is ILLEGAL to use any recording device inside a polling place. Cell phones are now prohibited in TX polling places and attempts to use any wireless device will subject the voter to arrest.

5) The republicans, at the same time, by using illegal and legal means, have taken over a MILLION names off the voter roles for this election.
6) The republicans own the companies who control the majority of the nation's electronic voting machines. These electronic machines are hacked into with simple technology. Some were proven defective and rigged in 2000. They provide no verification and can easily swing vital election results.
Despite the majority voting for Obama, there is a very real chance that McCain's cronies will STEAL this election as they did in 2000.

The completely incorrect. The more any entity biz or person is taxed the less they have to invest and grow their businesses and employ others. Since taxation is nothing more than transferring wealth from a productive efficient producer to one that is highly INefficient and inproductive. The likelihood is that those confiscated funds will wind up in the hands of an inproducer, a welfare dependent. Welfare has increased 700% since LBJ's great Society of 1965. So it proves increasing welfare roles.

You are completely correct on all counts. I am a Libertarian and unfortunately a 3rd party gets very little respect by the media and are usually seen as "fringe". What is "fringe" about following the Constitution and limiting the government per the Constitution? As with your comments, taxation and businesses...the cost of covering those taxes is not completely the "burden" of the business owner, they pass those costs to cover taxes on in their pricing, so the citizens do NOT come out on top!

BC allowed Al Qaida to strenthen and attack our interests without consequence. By forcing Fannie Mae to back the bad loans, BC began the high risk lending to low-income people who could not afford a mortgage, hence the current meltdown. Please note that in many states (including my state of Texas) it is ILLEGAL to use any recording device inside a polling place. Cell phones are now prohibited in TX polling places and attempts to use any wireless device will subject the voter to arrest.

I'm not enthusiastic about either candidate, but American experiment is about letting the people decide who will control the country, not faulty or tampered machines. If the machines can't be or aren't independantly audited via paper ballots, a video is the only record you have of for whom you actually voted (where it's allowed). I am a strong McCain supporter, over 20 years. I met him and shook his hand after he was elected to Congress. I even appeared in a photo with him that ran on the front page of the state newspaper.

I keep seeing this argument about "free market capitalism vs. socialism", and I keep on wondering if people actually have ANY idea of what these two concepts are. At their heart, neither one of them works as an economic system in a democratic society. However, a combination of them (with balanced measures of all other philosophies) allows all people living under a government to feel well enough represented in the financial system to exist happily. ahhh I see you're from Germany so obviously you were taught about this in school unlike Americans.
However Germans are the first to admit that they are coming out of denial and healing their nation as they acknowledge the resistance. I greatly admire that.
It is time for the world to also share that admiration towards modern Germany.
If only Americans could learn what Germans have learned without learning it the hard way.

One last thing. I agree that there is no comparison between the oppression and terror the NAZIs inflicted and that YET inflicted on Americans... but with torture not being ruled out on our own citizens and every other financial and propaganda issue in this election, many people see USA in some ways similar to 1930's Germany.
...which is probably why you care about this election.

1) ACORN, a vital low-income organization who registers the demographic the republicans HATE, is required by Federal LAW to turn in ALL registration forms it receives. It has been helping low income neighborhoods for over 30 years.

2) ACORN flagged registration forms that appeared to be fraud, with names like football stars and Mickey Mouse. It ALWAYS flags suspicious forms because they are honest.
3) A few of their thousands of workers filled out forms just to get paid. ACORN flagged these forms and turned them into the Department of Justice.
4) The republican Department of Justice turned around and said, AHA! Voter fraud. It was not voter fraud unless Mickey Mouse actually shows up and tries to vote.

5) The republicans, at the same time, by using illegal and legal means, have taken over a MILLION names off the voter roles for this election.
6) The republicans own the companies who control the majority of the nation's electronic voting machines. These electronic machines are hacked into with simple technology. Some were proven defective and rigged in 2000. They provide no verification and can easily swing vital election results.

Despite the majority voting for Obama, there is a very real chance that McCain's cronies will STEAL this election as they did in 2000.
America... There have been 10's of cases of voter fraud in the last 4 years -- less than 200 have been convicted. These are people who actually show up and try to vote illegally.

If you don't trust McCain how is it possible you can trust Obama if he even cannot tell you the true about his past.
BTW, you remember when Hillary said to Obama "if you cannot stand a heat, get out of kitchen"? Let me comment the same way about your comments "shes had experiene in office when bill was presidents". Being in the kitchen doesn't make you a great cook.
My advice: look into your values, find match. Don't make decision on a base of promises during campaign,look or someone else views.

McCain has not been wiped off from the birth canal and TOLD how to speak, walk, talk, Lie to your faces without you noticing, get a job but don't do any work in the senate (that would make history) who gets paid for having done absolutely nothing. McCain is the most honest candidate. He's angry that there are so many Americans, that he's fought all of his life for, willing to lie down and let Obama screw them and the rest of this great Country. McCain ! Not to sound like a know-it-all but most professors are liberal and/or foreign. I think the fact that you and I are talking about it and trying to learn is us doing our part as Americans and really all we can do is do as much homework as possible and then try to do the right thing. If we try our hardest, whomever we choose we know we've done it not because someone told us who to vote for but because we feel in our hearts its the right thing to do. Good luck and Godspeed.

Do your homework. He addressed and supported a group of organizations, one of which was indeed Acorn, and supporting their efforts to get people registered to VOTE. Acorn lied about their entire objective. Their objective was and has been to get people to vote for Obama who has been groomed from day 1 to run for president. Told not to vote on controversial things in the senate so that he didn't have a history. VERY SCARY if you truly look at all angles.

Acorn found and turned in the phony registrations itself. It costs Acorn money to pay workers for phony registrations, but the phony names they turn in are not real people so voter fraud does not happen this way. Republican operatives are pulling your leg. They know full well Acorn is not at fault here.

sorry if I insulted your age, but you don't sound very old. MCCAIN has not backed Bush 100% of the time. Hardly. Do your homework. He fought him on huge issues regarding the war and was against it. Now that we're in it, we can't just quit. That would be suicide. He was NOT in charge and could not make those decisions then. Vote Responsibly. Do your homework. Then vote for Obama if you think he's it. I think we really only have one choice ~ McCain 1) National Security.

I hate to tell you this Judy, but thanks to the new laws now in effect from Homeland Security, it is illegal for ANYONE to film ANY part of the voting process. You will be considered a terrorist and/or an enemy combatant if you carry a camera into a polling venue. Homeland security agents will confiscate any equipment used in the filming of persons in the process of voting.
What has this country come to? I suspect there will be many riots associated with this election.
