14 balloons and 1 bird seems the most realistic way of getting it..on my 3rd playthrough got this in about an hour and a half. This might sound silly but i found it a lot easier to do once i realised you dont have to push forward to make the chocobo run. Just steer it left and right

well...its kinda weird,but i got the exact 0:00:0 time and the breeder gave me the sun sigil,just like for u,and happened the very same way i got hit by a bird,on the final,but managed to get on my FIRST TRY (fuck yea*) after i got the chocobo training done,i guess i got really lucky so i works out thet u have to do a score equal or better than 0:00:0, but either way patience is the key,i got troubled on the hyper dodger,took me about 10 tries to get that done

Oh, and the real issue with the race is not just the birds. It's HOW FUCKING STUPID steering that goddamn chocobo is. YOU NEED to tap a direction, NOT press, and the fact that you could accidentally go a little off-course and cause the chocobo to move back to the path (with the chance of running into a bird)... *sigh* Not. Fucking. Fun...

Hey i had this same problem, redo the first training race(Wobbly chocobo i think) and he'll move.

@remix91742 LOL yes i had the same, and the very next try, i succeeded. The trick is LUCK on the random placement of balloons, and on the 1st 2 waves of birds, try avoid them mostly on the right to the left and only take balloons when no bird is coming. And try to take at least 4 in the beginning. Also at the end go from right to left. It helps avoiding birds. Good luck all

I actually replayed this section of the game earlier. Got 14 balloons and 1 bird. My best is 16 and no birds.

Also yeah you gotta save straight away afterwards. If you don't thats when you encounter a malboro that uses bad breath on you. And you helplessly watch your characters' hp go down to 0 as your eyes fill up with tears.

I think minigames to unlock things should be fun. They shouldn't punish the player for playing, or make you want to throw the controller. I'm all for a challenge, but make it a fun one...or at least fun for most.

Here's what I found.... tapping left or right makes a smoother(generally speaking) and sharper turn when racing the trainer. Extremely helpful in doging birds and collecting balloons. But I finished in 34.7 seconds, collected 14 damn balloons, hit by NO birds, and I got what? a turbo ether. Needless to say, I need a new controller. and I'm going to have to explain a broken lamp to my roommate.

Like is Tidus has 60 strength, and hits 9,999

when he gets his Celestial weapon he's still gonna hit that 9,999 unless you higher his strength. Like if you where to get an Strength +4 sphere his attack would higher to 64, making Tidus hit like 10,120 or somthing.

My tidus has a strength of 164 and he hits 99,999 with celestial, and Rikku has 154 strength, She hits 99,999 with Godhand.

Yuna, Auron, Kimari, and Wakka hit about 56,000, and Lulu like 30,000 per spell.
