  • how old are yours now mine are 7

  • do you ever walk your dogs?

  • @YunakkuProductions I wouldn't exactly call it walking. It is more like: three steps, stop, sniff, pee, repeat.... They rarely just walk.

The big dog (mastiff mix) in my other vids, he is my hiking buddy and we do 4-5 mile hikes once a month.

  • @dante2810

I was talking about your Basset, mostly.

If you don't watch his weight he may get GDS.

Or of course, his back might go out.

  • @YunakkuProductions

Yeah I keep close tabs on their diet and weight and they see vet twice a year.

Saffron is now 10 years old and while she doesn't walk as far as she used to, she still has plenty of agility. There are times, usually in winter where she will get a little gimpy and half a Deramaxx takes care of it. :)

  • she wanted to do the HAPPY BABY pose, but couldnt hold her legs :P

  • My Beagle does the same exact thing that Saffron is doing! xD It looks like she's trying to scratch her back. o.o

  • hahaha, so cute :D

  • Saffron is just itching her back, my Basset does that all the time too. My dog likes to roll around on his back on the grass and then he comes in with grass all over his back. Their feet are so short they cannot reach their backs. Give Saffron a hug and a kiss for me, thanks. Barb

  • You mean scratching lol.

  • Saffron, you're a precious angel, I love you.

  • I don't know if basset hound like to do this type of exercise or not. My basset loves doing it also when he is in the mood of relaxing.

  • Hey YOU! Lazy bum, get up!

    :-)

  • someone want to chat

    just moved new area ls

  • SOOOO CUTEEE!!!! u have a beautiful doggy!!! :P

  • todays my bassets 1st birthday. yay! I love it when she tilts her head like yours does at the end.

  • turn that frown upside-down!

    haha

  • haha shes funny, we have a melvin who likes to kick us, he beats us up.

  • She loves to exercise her back legs huh? LOL

That is too cute! Kinda looks like she is playing footsies with herself. Her front legs grab her back legs! LOL

  • mine love the bed too.

  • Either that or Saffron has a real itch on his back! :D

  • lol the shake at the end was the best

  • I have a three year old female basset hound.

She does this as well. Cute!

  • My basset likes to lie on his back too! Very cute dogs!

  • nice healthy hips

  • I love these hound dogs!!!!

  • Looks like it's scratching its nose. Our Boston Terrier does something similar, minus the cute back leg kicks.

  • That is SO FUNNY!!!

  • i love dogs i hate cats and i had a beagle for 11 years but she had a hardatack we shure will miss her when we go to australia.

  • You are lucky. They are like sandbags when they sleep and will not move. Great in winter cause they keep me warm but in summer... even they go and lay on the cool tile after a while.

  • Strange, I have a "bassie" and a beagle and they always give me most of the bed. Although sometimes they forget to leave space for my son when he comes in the morning.

  • lol when my dog sleeps with me, sometimes it's hard i have a twin matteress i try to make room for both of us. my cat's like that too she'll sleep in the middle of the bed, and there's no where for me to lay i'm hanging off the bed and the wall, i try not to make her leave lol.

  • LOL Where in the world do you sleep when your bed is so crowded with bassies? I have a lone bassie and am thankful she gives me a small corner of the bed to sleep on.

  • My, my, she does have endurance for what is known at our house as "Basset Breakdancing!"

  • I usually find her doing this in the dark on the bed all alone... but she also knows it gets her lots of attention too.
