Paying off american debt is gonna cost abt $100 billion more, that money could ve went to u know towards stupid things like inftastructure creating jobs. In a corporate world its gonna cost more money to borrow=less capital investment=less jobs, higher credit card bills=less consumption=less jobs

All the hyperbole about the evils of this super committee are completely justified. The elected leaders have been working so hard, and for so long, to eliminate that constrictive "partisanship." Support for bipartisanship is support for a 1-party state, and this super-committee is their attempt to seal the deal. As much as they'd love to tell you otherwise, political opponents are NOT supposed to agree on policy.

None of this surprises me anymore. Hell, the Republican corruption really started making momentum dating back to the Nixon administration breaking into the DNC, Watergate, lies lies lies. Targeting key individuals not in line with their 'war effort'. They were terrified of the activists. Then we got the Reagan years that started the collapse of American infrastucture and were in league with Merrill Lynch- here we go! Wall St. takeover. And the final nail in the coffin, GW Bush and poof!

Naturally, she put those on the table; as Cantor said some promises are not going to be kept, some people aren't getting paid - i.e. the working class in this country. I'm really progressive but I would at least consider social security, Medicare, and Medicaid in some instances. However, I wouldn't go into any compromise when the Republicans immediately say taxes are off the table, and I wouldn't get around it by adding a bunch of fees to tuition, licenses, toll roads, etc.
