@IPunchaUInTheFace ...I try and use as much as I can...I have some friends that eat the roe (eggs) but I felt the birds could use a good meal in Jan. There was a Asian man that asked for the rest of the head for fish soup/stew so I was pleased to share. Thanks for watching!
thats a good idea, Im up in Washington State.. salmon country ... ( we keep them eggs for bait-silvers and steele's) I think Im going to try that next time I bag a 20+ king..keep um coming brotha..
@maskedmillionaire they sure were and bold they tried to pull the whole fish on the ground behind me away...but it was to heavy...cant turn you back on them...lol. Thanks for watching
Good tips on getting more meat out of that fish. A lot of times we throw the whole fish on the BBQ and then just pick at it until it's an empty skeleton. It's all good meat! But you threw out some prime stuff - try the roe next time!. Let it sizzle in some butter with garlic and/or shallots until it turns gray. Then spread it on some toast ... mmm mmm, THAT is good stuff.
@scottigee Thanks Man I will try that friend of mine told me the same...Pelicans enjoyed it Im sure....Everyone check out Scottigee's Goose hunt video..good group of guys enjoying themselves to the fullest...
@texaslunkers right about that...I fished a couple years ago in Venice,La for Reds and Spec trout...one of the best trips ever ...with a man named Mr. Preston runs trips on the side retired out of Venice
I was afraid you were going to throw it all away and then I saw you gave what you didn't want to the pelicans! That made me smile. :P
