@RandomRex1 it muffles ur sound for one thing, and also gets u into the habit of placing it there when ur going fast, if u get used to it while double pedalling ur not gonna be able to blast at high speeds

@RandomRex1 I don't know whether he's talking about how you actually put your hand on the snare, or that you leave the stick pressed on to the snare for a lot of your hits. I don't really know about the hand thing, I've never seen anyone do it before, but as far as digging that stick in the snare, THAT is a bad habit, 'cause it chokes the sound of your drum, plus it loses any rebound. I actually used to do it (on the bass drum, too), but I worked on it when people pointed it out in my videos.
