The small bars have nothing to do with an addon, he has a widescreen monitor and the bars are always set to a certain size. If you DON'T have a widescreen monitor you can size your interface without messing up your picture and resolution by going to video settings and using the "UI scale" option, adjust it to your preference and away you go.

Well the thing is that avoidance doesnt help if you die from 1 hit, but neither does health help if you are getting hitted from every thing as hard as it possible can hit

depends on the fight and how much you have of both, usually try to find a balance, but theres some fights where avoidance is useless and some fights where extra hp won't help as much as more avoidance
