The critical problem Dr. Meyer keeps running into, I think, is the unfortunate fact that there is at least as much commitment to the atheistic implications of Darwinism as there is, in a purely scientific sense, to the theory itself. Pope Dawkins himself is actually pretty frank about that. Whatever the reason for it, if that often mindless commitment to atheism wasn't so strong, the science and sheer commonsense of ID would be be winning support everywhere.

Actually there are forces of attraction that DO determine the order of the bases of DNA (or RNA) - hydrogen bonding. The rambling about "information" makes about as much sense as when Newman (on Seinfeld) says "When you control the mail, you control...information". Jerry asks, "What does that mean?" and Newman shrugs and walks away. Meyers is Newman, with an illusion of relevance.

I recall that as a child I read a short story by the atheist Isaac Asimov that introduced concept of "pool room Darwinism." The only reason that an atheist of his convictions would introduce such a concept is because it would invalidate the literal translation of Genesis, something that Jesus Himself believed, and thus throw all of Christianity into question.
