@mikachuk He changed his name to Gil Sharone back in the day and moved to California. Check out his work at the Cape Breton Drum Fest a few years back. Insane single arm work there, likely from a long period of singlehood 'round that time.
@ihaveniceass - The singlehood part maybe, the rest no. He left the band as the egos blew up and they went the commercial route. He started fresh living with some family he had down there & started giving lessons & instructing (hence the Cape Breton work shortly after he left the band). He took the last name of his Aunt's family down there so his work would be as disassociated with the crap aof wanted to make. Smart move from a smart, true musician. That's why he (his name) seemed to disappear.
