  • Love it , Love it, Love it

  • i love song

  • One of my favorite ending songs *ever*. Sorrowful, beautiful, passionate, full of pain.

I think it sums up the lives of the girls in a nutshell (save for the optimism they have).

  • I cry when i hear this. Its rlly beautiful <3

  • mis respetos por poner la letra !!!!! XDXDXD d d d excelente cancion!!!!!!!!

  • Is this sung in Klingon?

  • i get a lot of question asked to me and its the same freaking thing over and over thats why i chose to ignore many people because of that 1 question.

  • chaarad i feel ur pain there buddy

  • funny thing is that it's a French song^^ I'm singing it for my class^^ It's called "Apres un reve" by French composer Gabriel Fure. But the poem was italian until Fure composed it^^

  • Something is just really sad about that ending.

Its a static shot of a pistol lying in the rain but what does that symbolize?

Instrument of murder, left alone to rust under rain, forgotten, useless...

The rain become tears slowly as you realise it.

This feeling is like a needle in the heart

  • @TehSalomon a gun lying out of ammo on the floor means that the owner is in serious jeopardy if not already dead, and his last moments may have been really frightening being defensless against a threat that required a weapon and all of his ammo. In short, it means nothing good for the poor bastard who dropped that empty gun.

  • @TehSalomon There are hints of Cinematography in this series. If you ever watch it again you can see a hint of Scorsese's eye of god viewpoint with food in 2nd episode, as an example. :)

The gun is symbolism for the uselessness of the instrument of destruction and how it is only used for such a small period of time before it becomes obsolete, like the variations of guns we've seen throughout our existence, in comparison for the girls, they are only good for a small period of time.

  • What gun is that?

  • What language is this? OLOL JUST KIDDING.

  • IZ THIS JAPANESE I CANT TELL HALP ME PLZ

  • The song is Italian :)

  • oh I am talking to 83RS

  • owhsht310 / true... you saw the part 83... right? too sad

  • i love french music

  • @avarii11 i hope to god ur trolling cause if u not ur retarted when the title says ITALIAN

  • It's Gabriel Faure's Apres un Reve! <3

  • amazing

  • I would love to see gunslinger gril have some "jersey shore-ness" to it. It would be hilarious.

  • @owhsht310

    NO.

    NO.

    NO!

  • @owhsht310 what a horrible thing to say, this show was absolutely perfect just the way it was

  • in effetti la pronuncia italiana lascia un po' a desiderare XD

  • for some reason, this song scares me.... anyone else?

  • I feel my soul move to this song

  • Anyone Know where i can find the full verison of this song?

  • its italian

  • ist is... ITALIAN

  • why is the oringinal song lyrics different from this one!?

    >:(

  • love this song italian music is a grace to listen to and i am a freak for the seaons of gunslinger girls sometimes it makes me cry it's so touching.best anime ever!!!!!!!!

  • Lyrics:

    Signore, oh, per pietà

    lasciami piangere.

Lascia che io pianga la dura sorte

    e che sospiri la libertà.

    Il duolo infranga queste ritorte

dai miei martiri solo per pietà.

    Signore, oh, per pietà

    lasciami piangere.

    Signore, oh, per pietà!

  • @xXAntonia96Xx I thought it was"Si mio amore, per pieta" ?

  • @GhibliOriginals I'm sure it is "Signore, per pietà" (the translate in english is "God, for pity's sake") because i'm italian and the sound of this word is unmistakable ^^

  • @xXAntonia96Xx thanks (i already have difficulties to understand lyric songs in my own language, so in others...lol)

  • @GhibliOriginals ahahahah LOL

  • i'm italian and THIS IS ITALIAN u_u

  • ITS ITALIAN U FUCK TARDS DONT U READ THE TITLE I swear people these days

  • Oh my God...Is this...Italien? D=

  • Omfg, will y'all hush about the Italian. Damn. Lol

  • I cant understand nothing and i'm italian!!!! But i'm sure, it IS italian! XD The pronunciation is horrible!

  • @Annishappy eh, è vero, però bisogna dire che la cantano dei giapponesi che forse hanno detto solo qualche parola di italiano nella loro vita senza saperne nemmeno il significato XD

  • what language could this be? i guess its italian!!!!!

  • No shit it's Italian I'm Native and I'm not even french and I could tell just by listing doesn't take a trained ear du!

  • For those curious about the origins of the song, yes, the Gunslinger Girl ED is clearly in Italian. "Dopo il Sogno" means "After a dream". it was originally set in French by Gabriel Fauré, based on a translation of an anonymous Italian poem and called "Après un rêve" - I'm guessing the producers of GSG chose an Italian rendition because of the show's setting. There are many wonderful examples of the French song on YouTube. I recommend Kiri Te Kanawa or Renée Fleming.

  • Damn, I gonna make this image my wallpaper.

  • DL the audio from this video at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • PLEASE!!!!! Can't you guys read?? The title says it's ITALIAN!!! I-TA-LI-AN!!! you don't HAVE to comment on it all the time we already KNOW it's sung in italian...

You have to forgive me but it's anguishing to recieve comments that goes "Is is Italian?", "I think it's Latin." "Which language is it? Latin? Japanese?"

Why did you think I changed the title? because of that so people will know which language it is but to no avail TT_TT

  • @Chaarad I wonder if it's really italian(calm down, jus kidding here lol).I'm downloading this serie right now.I hope this anime be as good as this music(srry my bad english).

  • @Chaarad In Which language this song is ? :-P

    P.S:

    He..He just kidding ;)

  • @Chaarad Man and I thought it was spanish this whole time.

  • @xyanide1986 *Dies a horrible painful death, writhing in anguish and agony. Eyes goes blank, froth emerges from the mouth. Twitch, twitch, twitch..............TWITCH!!!*

  • @Chaarad

Y'know, you'd think you'd of saved yourself a whole bunch of comments by adding "We know it's italian -_-" to the tittle of the video, but its rather funny how that like, didn't stop people from commenting stupid shit lmfao. Next i'm going to watch a rammstein video, and people are going to be like, "oh i thought this was american" or i'm going to look up a shadow of the colossus walkthrough and someones going to be like "i thought this was an xbox 360 game", LOL >.> xD

  • @tTyLeRpWnZz Though it DID lessen them...mostly it feels better for me to have clarified that it's Italian for those who actually cares and wonders >_< (not that it's many but...)

so anyway...I've stop caring anymore =P, I have better stuff to spend my time and energy on ^^

  • @Chaarad

Hm, good plan, sounds like a dope deal xD Have fun with your new time consuming activities LOL n.n

  • @tTyLeRpWnZz I hear ya there, brother.. I feel for ya!

  • @tTyLeRpWnZz

    >shadow of the colossus walkthrough and someones going to be like "i thought this was an xbox 360 game"

    SOON!

  • @spamy97

Yeah yeah, i wish eh? I would love to go back and play it, like fuck, they re-mastered resident evil code veronica through to resident evil four, they could at-least do the same for a masterpiece like SOTC -.-"

  • @tTyLeRpWnZz

In fact the Ico and SOtC HD remasters are already out for PS3 and MGS and Zone of the Enders HD remasters are being made for both 360 and PS3.

  • @Chaarad

Signor Mío, per pietá, Lasciami Piangere...

Lascia che Pianga la cruda Sorte,

    é che Sospiri la Liberta,

    Il Lutto errata questa ritorte

Da mia Martirio sai Per Pietá...

    Signore Mío, Per Pietá...Lasciami Piangere...

    Oh, Per Pietá....♪♫

  • spiritual

  • uhh so what happend? Hetti died or left her gun there? I CANT UNDERSTAND!!!

  • It's Hetti's gun, she's the star of course. Well, half the star.

  • Any other Italy animes? No American movies that show Italy the way gunslinger girl does. This and Elfen Lied are the only animes i know who's themes are NOT Japanese. Of COURSE IT'S ITALIAN THE DAMN SHOW IS IN FRIKKIN' ITALY FOR GODS SAKE. now what does that say?

  • Belle chanson italienne

  • at first i always granted native speakers the benefit of the doubt, but the ending song for nodame cantabile second season was on the record sung by a professional french singer, yet the french natives online still claimed it sounded ridiculous and sounded like anything but french, claiming it had "japanese accents", even though the singer can't even speak that language. and mind you, a lot of french natives shared the initial sentiment. after that, it doesn't really matter what "natives" say.

  • Honestly, you can stare at the same only slightly moving pic for over a minute and it doesn´t get dull... not even after the 25th time...

  • i feel like im in another world

  • The first and last parts sound like «Signore, per pietà, lasciami piangere» (Lord, please, for pity's sake, let me cry)

Then the lyrics are taken from Handel's "Rinaldo": «Lascia ch'io pianga / la dura sorte / e che sospiri la libertà // Il duolo infranga / queste ritorte / de' miei martiri / sol per pietà» (Let me cry / over my cruel fate / and grieve for freedom // May the pain shatter / the chains / of my torments / just for pity's sake)

  • jacobpohisander is right i agree should'nt the words be the same? - -

  • So are the lyrics the same as the original piece Apres un reve (by Faure)?

  • Is it just me or are the words on the ending credits version different from the full length Version. It's been driving me nuts. I like both but for some reason I thought that the words would be the same.

  • @JacobPohlsander sometimes they change it to either fit the series or because it sounds better. I haven't listened to the both versions of this song but it's fairly common that they do that in other series =)

  • @JacobPohlsander i think they choped the original song up a bit to fit the short about of time for the credits. So certian parts of the song are absent during the end credits.

  • @JacobPohlsander, I noticed that, too! The melody even sounds different, but it's very subtle. D:

  • NOOOOO POOR SIG!

  • Once you watch the Anime.

You relise that it just peirced you like a Rusted Bullet.

    Best God damn anime ever..

  • It is not latin. It's italian

  • lol the title

  • well i'm italian and i can say for sure it is italian, i will include a translate lyric ^^

God , for compassion (litterrally pity)

    let me cry...

(voce change) Leave me cry the cruel fate

and that i taste the freedom

the pain should break those chains

of my martirs only for compassion

sorry if it sounds a little creepy and weird and for any english error ^^ i tried my better on translating the MEANING of this song :S

btw better anime from ages ^^

  • LOL at the new name for the video... =D it feels nice to be right

  • hey guys this aint japanese or latin it's italian ;)

  • It is Italian (:

  • THAT MEANS SHE IS DEAD, OR NOT?

  • THATS THE HENRIETTA'S SIG SAUER GUN

  • and yes i was correct its italian i have listen to the full song version and its italian

  • i beleive this is italian coz i am half mexican i know spanish and i have listen to this and i beleive its italian since i kinda know that language to but not alot but enough it does sound italian

  • beautiful song. i think it's elsca de sicas gun.

  • I always thought that the gun was supposed to symbolize the death or what the girls do, and the rain were tears. In the song, someone is asking for pity, if I remember correctly...

  • Ooooh look, it's a SIG-Sauer P239 two tone.

  • Hello,

I think it's a song based on "Après un rêve" op.7 n°1 by Gabriel Fauré...

  • where can you buy this song? i love it :)

  • I always wondered what the gun in the rain was supposed to mean. who's gun that was supposed to be, anyways? Henrietta's? I wonder, since she seemed to use the smaller machine guns.

  • I would guess either Henrietta's or Triela's since Triela seemed to like rapid fire pistols...I think it being in the rain is my symbolic than anything else. As far as I know only one of them dies...and it's not in the series so...

  • OMG who dies?!?1

  • @animelover7321 Do you really want me to spoil it? XD

  • @Kenegos1 o umm......nvm i found out

  • @Xonx68 its the gun the girls train with at the start it denote the loss of there childhood theres a write up in the manga about it.

  • dopo il sogno es el nombre del ending

  • como se llama esta casion ke no la encuentroo!!! ke alguien me diga porfavor!!!

  • This song is really beautiful....

I wish to stay in Italy listening to this beautiful melody....Venecia *-*

  • Anyone think this song would be bomb on the new Boondocks Saints movie?

  • I love italian songs and I love this anime too :P

    Me pueden ayudar a buscarla?

  • I just finished season 1!

  • This song is Italian and that is fact.

  • The language is similar to that of the spanish language, but it is not spanish, therefore it could either be italian or portuguese, since both of these languages contain somewhat of a spanish origin or are very similar, whichever the case it was still a great anime and a great ending.

  • eso es verdad! (thats right!) XD

  • very good ;)

  • i love this song and henrietta is my fav.

  • is this song sung in japanese or some other language? it doens't sound japanese..

  • I'm not sure but since the anime takes place in Italia I think it's in italian...but as said, I'm not sure =)

  • i'm talian and i can tell it for sure it's italian and i was very surprised when i heard it for the first time XD

  • @Chaarad its italian just wanting to make sure ive checked by hearing the full version yea if you seen my other posts it was explaining

  • @Chaarad It is Italian, Italian is similar to Spanish and there are some Spanish words in the song. and I just know what Italian sounds like.

  • @Chaarad

    Yes, it is italian ^^

  • @Chaarad ............ Italia?

  • @Chaarad i think its latin

  • @judas507 That I know for sure it's not ^^ listen to the opening of Elfen Lied, that's latin and this doesn't sound alike at all ^^
