I'll watch the movie for Amitabh Bachchan, turning a blind eye to the fact that the depiction of progeria is not accurate.

The patients normally have small, frail bodies. It is highly unlikely that they live as long as 13 years, and they can't be as physically active as is shown.

Okay Did u read the disclaimer they gave in the title ? What did you want the director to do ? ask any actor to stop eating and get lean and already as they r aged they would fall sick?? Would any actor risk such a huge step ? He did an experiment and its sad that he is tall but they did mention it is not an exact depiction of the disease. Frankly I think it was a good try and stop nit picking.

It's not nit-pickin', dude. I was only being objective. And yes, actors have taken severe steps in the past for accurate depictions.

Daniel Day-Lewis in 'My left foot', for example. His portrayal of a cerebral palsy patient did help create awareness a lot.

Its a bollywood movie not an awareness campaign. Its a business and art not a social awareness cause.People related to this will see their benefit. Did you even watch the movie ? It is not about the disease and the director does not try and get sympathy for this diseases. It is more of a story a fictional one about a character auro with his father. Thats it. Stop unnecessary ranting. Even by doing this they increased huge awareness and yes it is nit picking and I am not a dude.

I suppose we have different perspectives on cinema. I'm fully aware what to expect from a bollywod movie, and that realism would be the last thing I'd hope 4. The point I was trying to make was "if it's a movie with progeria as a factor, then show progeria. Not some fictional disease."

As for the ranting part, my initial comment was not even critical of the makers of 'Paa'. I know this is just another bollywood masala movie.

'Business and art?' Well, does that mean they can use a condition like progeria, twist some facts to fit bollywood standards, and make an emotional drama?

And what good is a fanciful depiction of an actual disease? It may not be of much help in making people aware of such rare conditions.

Besides, such roles demand method actors, but this school of acting is rare in Indian films.

its not a copy of nething :| not even jack. In jack the thing was he was a normal 40 yr old but in reality was a 10 yr old kid and the focus of the movie was his interaction with his same age kids as he goes to school for the first time. In Paa auro behaves and is shown as a normal kids except the fact that he looks diff and has progeria. It is not copied from newhere Watch before disregarding someone's efforts

r u kidding me ?? Do u even know what CCBB is about did u even watch any of the movies to compare ?? CCBB is a fantasy movie in which brad pitt is born old and gets younger day by day and weird incidents happen around him :| In Paa Big B suffers from a rare genetic disorder progeria which exists and it is a realistic movie :| which talks about his relationship with his father. Go and watch the movies before randomly giving out ur comments. Little knowledge is dangerous. Stop following blindly.

Jack did not had progeria. He just had an ageing disorder where he grew faster. In progeria the child does not grow faster rather his body grows faster so his organs and skin etc look old and head gets swollen. But the body remains small and fragile Its similar to none
