Dime Bag Darryl tribute would well deserved because of the kickass job he did in the performance of said song. That is, the version on the "Charlie's Angels" Full Throttle sound track. The very same one that features Kid Rock to give it that little extra kick in the ass. The version on the NICKELBACK album is fantastic too. Don't like this as a video at all. why the hell didn't roadrunner spend a few thousand and make a kickass video to such a great song. Maybe put in a little tribute to "Dime bag Darryl" at the end. That would've been something.

@MurKyImpaKt If you're insinuating that Nickelback is better than Elton John, you're probably wrong, because Elton was the third most successful music artist behind Madonna and the Beatles in the past hundred years. Elton had an incredible amount of recognition, talent and influence for his time, and without Elton there would be no Nickelback version. However, I think Nickelback's version is just as good, and I agree that "Nickelback deserves a hell of a lot more respect than they're getting."

@Kenshhr Elton John's version was really good, too, IMO. Even if it is a bit old, Elton John's original version of this song is timeless. People need to look past his taboo homosexuality to see him for the true music genius that he was.
Chad Kroeger is the biggest tool in pop-rock, with his carefully permed curls, nonexistent indie cred and totally unearned sense of accomplishment. I rate him one small step below Sid Vicious because at least Sid had the decency to kill himself once he realized what a talentless industry-shill he was.
The vid where Kroeger gets hit in the head with a rock on stage in Portugal makes me smile every time.

Dime Bag Darryl tribute would well deserved because of the kickass job he did in the performance of said song. That is, the version on the "Charlie's Angels" Full Throttle sound track. The very same one that features Kid Rock to give it that little extra kick in the ass. The version on the NICKELBACK album is fantastic too. Don't like this as a video at all. why the hell didn't roadrunner spend a few thousand and make a kickass video to such a great song. Maybe put in a little tribute to "Dime bag Darryl" at the end. That would've been something.

Elton had an incredible amount of recognition, talent and influence for his time, and without Elton there would be no Nickelback version. However, I think Nickelback's version is just as good, and I agree that "Nickelback deserves a hell of a lot more respect than they're getting."

Chad Kroeger is the biggest tool in pop-rock, with his carefully permed curls, nonexistent indie cred and totally unearned sense of accomplishment. I rate him one small step below Sid Vicious because at least Sid had the decency to kill himself once he realized what a talentless industry-shill he was.
The vid where Kroeger gets hit in the head with a rock on stage in Portugal makes me smile every time.
That said, the song fuckin' rocks. Best not to think and just listen, I guess...
