How's cooling on these units because it looks very cramped. I currently have the Acer Easystore 340 and even that unit with a fan can get kinda toasty after extended use. These look very compact and great for spatially challenged areas.

Piece of crap, since it runs over USB 2 which is slow like hell.

not really... USB 2 runs at 480 Mbps which is not slow. Its slightly slower in sustained throughput than firewire 400 but by no means slow.
