  • awwwwwww so cute.

  • What you don't realize is the effort Liam is using to stay awake. He's not relaxing; he's fighting with all his might to counter the urge to sleep. It's really a form of torture. Other than that, I find his friend adorable.

  • @Donnysgirl1100 obviously he doesnt drive, he could possibly have an episode while driving and then it'll just cause and accident. Its just easier to not give narcoleptics a license all together.

  • Hey! I have Narcolepsy too and its very hard to copehksjdhflsafhsipudop00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • of the serious nature Narcolepsy can have. Oh yeah and people out there that think sudden drops to the floor is more often Cataplexy not Narcolepsy, they are associated but not everyone has both. Secondly, one with Cataplexy seems to suddenly pass out with extreme emotion ie laughter, crying, scared. It is caused sudden loss of muscle control. The entire time the mind is fully aware of whats going on, the body just cant move. Does Liam have Cataplexy also??

  • continue: the reason my friend was in my house is because she thought something was terribly wrong with me and the hallucinations scared her. I tried to explain with Narcolepsy its a common symptom but she was not getting it. Falling asleep randomly is the easy part, you can also have automatic behavior, which means you seem to be awake and doing everyday task but have moments of quick naps. As a telephone rep. this really sucks. But laugh, and never stop laughing. Dont forget to educate others

  • I have Narcolepsy and I resemble your boyfriend on a regular basis. I had to learn to laugh at myself because if you don't learn to laugh with others or at yourself this condition will make you crazy. I remember begging my mom and sister to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and fell asleep before the opening credits finished and missed the entire movie. I have woken up to a friend in my house because I was hallucinating earlier that after noon on the phone which is a common w/ narcolepsy.

  • Hey He is cute! I love the song " Just a regular normal guy" Narcoleptics are regular, everyday normal people we just happen to doze off often. We still do all the same things everyone else does- but doze intermittently during activity. Narcolepsy is undoubtedly a challenge but I think to increase awareness and show what it is in a matter of fact way is not only helpful but shows the uptmost respect to those with narcolepsy as there is not any sense of fear and marginalization.

  • you sure he isn't just fucked up?

  • @S10sittnonRVM22s that's really fucking rude. I have narcolepsy and it's totally fine, it affects thousands throughout the world and it's not uncommon to meet a narcoleptic. you're really an insolent cunt.

  • @jasminemilton

Sorry didn't mean to offend you, I just thought narcolepsy was brought on by intense emotion. To me it looks like he is just nodding off on some type of pain medicine.

  • Man... I don't mean to sound rude or unsympathetic, but narcolepsy sure could have some advantages.

I wonder if he can create masterpieces of dreams. Does he dream in these small episodes?

Oh, man... it'd be like lucid dreaming times reality.... Whoa.

I almost envy this guy. Life is probably quite lax for him...

His girlfriend seems smart and accepting. I am curious ... do people with this lack energy, or do they prefer not to be active in case they fall asleep? Vice versa?

  • @norevelation You are an idiot

  • @norevelation Exercise seems to help me. love running and hiking , but I lack energy when sedentary. I just get exausted when I sit down anywhere. During the week I take a medication which helps my daytime dozing, and I work a normal job like everyone else.; however I have some days I am barely functional as so tired. Then I get work done either late, or early or on weekend to get it done. Narcoleptics also have to plan extra time for pulling over to nap if drivers, or time for the bus.

  • OMG it's Jon Lajoie!! (If that's how you spell his last name)

  • I can't begin to thank-you enough for posting the videos of your husband. I have been diagnosed as having narcolepsy and do take meds that help to a degree. Speaking to the docs in a clinical environment about the condition and symptoms is one thing; seeing that there are others with the disorder somehow has helped me feel more 'normal'.

  • How does he drive?

  • My husband has narcolepsy. He falls asleep just like your boyfriend. Sometimes I see him trying to fight it. About six months ago, he started taking Adderall though, and his lift has greatly improved. Maybe your boyfriend can talk to a doctor about medications that can help him:)

(I hear John LaJoie in the background. He is awesome!!)

  • @maryhunt1984 oops, I meant "life" ha ha

  • Can he drive legally?

  • Coffee is a stimulant , it might help

  • I do this at work, when I have a job. At 10:00, 2:00, and 4:00 it's a battle to stay awake. It's pure torture. Then I wake up in a drunken stupor.

  • Im sick of people making fun of narcolepsy its a pretty serious xczahm.xsfdzsdaf,/;.adsb.,EKDFL,;lfkg.d.vkl/kfjghgs\i.\lkug/;wfJD/sjdhbgjf;da/vkndfvbgeabdjfvbj/dguFFfffffffffffffffffffff;S'GH'HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • I am watching this video and its crazy because I do the same thing! I'm narcoleptic too and watching this guy fall into a deep sleep and then resume his previous activity...reminds me of my everyday life. I was laughing, but truly its serious. I go for my official sleep study this weekend, and I hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to sleep!! LOL!

  • Aww the poor thing he is trying sooo hard to fight it. I have narcolepsy as well and I have done very much the same thing many of times. My husband and I saw your first video of him and thought about doing a video response but I'm not sure if i want to go without the meds for long enough to feel that sleepy again.

  • How severe is his narcolepsy?

And when someone has narcolepsy, is an "episode" defined by several hours of being pulled into sleep or what? I dont know much about narcolepsy and I'm curious.

  • You do fall asleep and bop your head around after a small attack. It's part of having Narcolepsy and coming back aware of your surroundings before the next wave of it comes. I do that and move my feet back and forth, lol. This dude has it about as bad as I have it but the meds do help and my attacks are less frequent now. I have had Narcolepsy since I was 14 and I am 39 now.

  • @freakypeoplehunter I too have narcolepsy since 6th grade. I made it to10th grade, dropped out, could not stay awake in class. no one knew what it was then. finaly when I was 17 my doctor had me tested and confirmed it was narcolepsey. started me on dextroamphetam gen. for dexadrine. I take a 5mg tab and a15mg spansule morning and at noon.it totaly changed my life. I have tried ritalin and provogil had almost no efect .stayed on dex. seems to work pretty well .Hope this helps some one.Im now 39

  • lol this is great!! BTW, who's Liam's friend? ;p

  • HAHAHA LOVE IT!

  • The lyrics to that tune are so funny

  • this is hilarious!! and no i'm not laughing at him... i just can relate! it's funny seeing it happen to someone else for a change!!

  • Man, having narcolepsy looks real tiring (no pun intended).

  • Thats misrespect of course, noone has the right to make laugh of your problem,I find him really hot!!! if your girl does not respect you or love you,I certainly would, smooch.

  • @queencommander -misrespect is not a word, genius. It's Disrespect. He laughs, we all laugh, and he likes that I post these videos. Get your own man. He's not interested in trannies.

  • @lostinvast .......i agree with you ....if he dont mind why not enjoy it while it last ..i like the video its cute and funny that it happens .and it cute how his friend just really laughing and enjoying this ....plus his friend is cute

  • @lostinvast Its awesome to see this.. I am narcoleptic too and its cool to see that Im not the only one who reacts like that. The shaking leg to try and jog you awake, the in and out of consciousness and the being unable to keep your eyes open.... not to mention the mid-nap replies to the conversation with one eye shut. The best way to deal with this condition is laugh. At times it sucks, but the more you laugh at yourself and the crazy situations the easier it is to deal with!!!

  • @lostinvast hj

    ahahaha YOU GO GIRL!!!!

  • I liked it how he played it off of from falling asleep & then bops his head & acted like everything was alright. I feel for this poor guy. But then again he is truly bless on having his friends around. Accepting the fact that he has it.

  • omg I would hate to have that. I hate fighting the urge to sleep~!

  • john lajoie

  • At that time I was googling narcoleptic and found your first video of him. Then I subscribed because of your animal videos. :D His friend is torturing him waking him up to see the crappy video he obviously was seeing :P

  • @NITRO86sp - I thought i'd spice it up with something new - haha I know, he says he's so used to Liam falling alseep he just says goodbye when he first shows up at the house, because he knows Liam will be sleeping before he leaves

  • @lostinvast lol prediction

  • @NITRO86sp Fyi that's an awesome video by Jon Lajoie, who has a lot of hilarious videos on youtube. But yeah this channel is good :p

  • This is interesting to see! Haha thanks for posting.
