  • I believe the 2006 film is the greatest version

  • Charlotte's Web was like a dream almost.

  • I loved the book as a child and i have the 1973 movie on DvD. I was disappointed with the lack of the emotion when the 2006 version came out. Wilbur was not crying when Charlotte passed on in the 73 version Wilbur sobbed over Charlotte's death. I respect your opinions just thought of reviewing mine. I didn't like the actress who played Fern in the 2006 version, I felt her lines she was given were wrong. Then again the 73 version shouldn't have had those songs.

  • The HB movie is good and some of the songs have stuck with me since I was a child so I have to disagree

  • I agree, the animated movie is not bad. I loved it as a kid, but now it is watchable at best. The songs do ruin it for me, which I agree is ironic because the Sherman Brothers rock.

  • Hi I love your reviews can you do a Look back at that show Recess please???????????!!

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on like tj the main character and the creative stories as a whole?

  • @Iamdanielg Yeah, I would like to see that. I mean, he's praised the show quite a few times, even calling it one of his favorite cartoons of all time.

  • I hate Dakota Fanning is the reason why I dislike the live action version. That is all.

  • Here we go again.. yet again I disagree with your dislike of the HB version.

    Always a critic.

  • I also think the 2006 movie is superior to the original.

  • Personally, I like the HB movie. The scene where Charlotte dies (spoilers) actually made me cry.

With the 2006 movie, it's...meh...it's not bad, it's just I didn't really bother with it (I didn't care). I ironically still own the 2006 movie but lost the HB movie of Charlotte's Web (I might buy it again).

    :(

I'm reading the book at school. It's pretty good.

    ;)

  • I actually prefer the Hanna Barbara version over the 2006 version. The Hanna Barbara version made me cry, the 2006 version didn't. But the 2006 version did make me laugh a lot, like when Templeton was running away from the egg and shouted "Last one there is a rotten egg!".

  • like/hate relationship for both films. Wilbur was miscast in the 2006 film compared to the Hanna Barbera film. now that you bring up the Sherman Bros writing the songs, I guess I didn't like most of the songs either except for Templeton's about all the food at the theme park.

  • The songs I think are really great in this movie are "Charlotte's Web" and "Mother Earth & Father Time" so... seeing as I grew up on the old one... yeah... I still love the old one even though it may be a little lighter than the book... I didn't see the live action one b/c... well... I just didn't... and for some reason I always find Dakota Fanning severely annoying... she and her sister ruined the Disney dubb of Totoro!!! :(

  • I know you didnt like the animated film, but you have to admit, charlottes death was very sad in the movie. I mean the nostalgia critic placed it as #4 on his list of saddest nostalgic moments. Though I dont know if that list holds up for him nowadays.

  • I like pigs....IN MY BELLY!
