  • Sick!

  • Edmond! Wait for the video reply!))) Now i wanna play it too! Fantastic playing, brother! Hi technique and musicality!!!

  • TABS PLEASE

  • i personally would've enjoyed this more without the funky drums xD

  • very nice!! Well done!! Do you know where I can find the bass tab for that? it wopuld be fun to try to play...

  • score please, אני מת ללמוד לנגן את זה

  • Where did you go to college?

  • @slapstyler You are an inspiration !! You also made me realize that I must utilize music by classical composers as part of my practice routine!! thank you and brilliant performance.

  • you are amazing!

  • NICELY DONE!!!! Thank you for posting this, I'm going to share this with other musicians!!!

  • love it

  • Can you make a demo of the markbass classic as well? cos there are none on youtube! thanks very much!

  • pero que pinche presision

    exlente

  • Muy bueno. Ejecutas con una suavidad sorprendente. Me ha gustado mucho.

  • DUDE. Extreme. I don't get how your right hand keeps up. Nor your left, to be honest. And do you read music or do you remember all this?

  • sweet percussion loop!!!

  • great playing - fluid phrasing

and great idea to employ percussion

  • hey great stuff man!

do you know where i could find the notation for this piece?

it would help me a lot

  • Love it !!

I am a Violinist and I know just how hard it is to play this piece.

You make things even harder by having what is effectively a metronome type backing which means you can't slow down slightly when you get to some of the more tricky bits in it.............great interpretation and playing. WELL DONE !!

  • With all respect, well done my friend!! Absolutely amazing!

  • This is absolutely flawless in all regards. Amazing playing!

  • Thank you , TheStephenL and stlreader1 !!!

I have a new version of it , I`ll record it soon ! and put it on you tube

just need to find some time

    Thank you

  • Fine job my friend! I've been playing this on guitar for years and would still be a little afraid of a performance with a drum track/metronome. I think Jaco approves :)

  • I don't think Jaco's any better than this.

    WOW!

  • great playing!! I miss Shazam!

  • wow that was amazing man.....great work!

  • Thanks Edmond! Looking forward to it and I'm making plans for my VF5. Deciding whether to go for the fretted or fretless first!

  • Im currently transcribing a few classical pieces for guitar by ear and Im just curious if u learned this with sheet music or by ear? also how long did it take you to get it so perfectly clean and articulated? it sounds masterful, very nice.

You are an excellent bassist. you wouldn't happen to know the bassist by the name of jerry livingston would you?

  • @Andro1

    I will release at Oct 10 2 new clips , Promise !!!

I would buy it with a 60`s pickups position , trust me , much better.

It`s a killer tone, dont wait for the demo. :)))

  • Ok! Please a clip of the fretless now! Really curious how it sounds. I've communicated with Fbass and am considering ordering...Alder/Rosewood but maybe 70s positioning of the pickups...

  • man i keep coming back to this video. you have a vf-5 fretless!? any chance you can make a review or at least a video with it?! Man you're amazing!

  • hmm ..Taps ?? would be awesome .. ??

  • Wonderful rendition of this piece.

Please tell me what the body wood is of this/your VF-5.

    Thanks!

  • @Andro1

    It`s a 60`s style ,so it`s an alder body , naturally ...

  • @slapstyler

Thanks very much! I thought so, but wanted to confirm.

For fingerstyle, which body wood do you think gives the better nasal/bridge pick-up tone...alder or ash?

  • @slapstyler

PS...I play Wal basses and a great Zon fretless but have been wanting a Jazz-style bass for some time. The VF-5 seems like a good choice.

  • @Andro1

Well... I have a VF-5 fretless and I should make a demo with it

The VF-5 Sound ten times better then any other fretless that I had ,and I had so many

You should check them If you in to the Jazz Bass 60`s sound. I personaly love alder roswood for finger playing ,and maple ash for slap. but it`s up to the player.

    go check them

  • @slapstyler

Yes...please do a vid of your fretless...even a short one...bridge pick-up....it would be great to hear it. I don't think there is even one on youtube of a fretless VF5....

    Thanks!

  • I have been learning to play the bass for three months and I have to say, I was blown away after watching your video. I have a new prospective about playing classical music on an electric bass. Wonderful video...you inspired me.

  • Hey dude, this is some great stuff! Do you by any chance have sheet music of this in bass clef? You really inspired me to go and practice this stuff!

  • @BassAgent

Dear Friend , I transcribed it from the CD but it`s in treble clef and with some work you can do the translation very easy... plus you can excersice your reading ;)

    Thanks for the compliments!

    Keep up the good work!

  • DAMN!

  • Hello,

I like your sound and style, I also have your AC fretted sound clip from George. That's great.

    Ranny

  • @eaflyaway

    Thanks ,

yes the AC is a fantastic bass !

    Thank you for listening

  • @slapstyler Will you record your video with your Redwood AC6 fretted?

  • @eaflyaway Interesting, because *I* now have that fretted AC6 bass! :-)

  • @TlingitTV

I also oredered one Redwood AC5 fretted, with magnetic pickup. Bass will be finished in a few months. Could you show the video of your best? i think your bass tone is very amazing for sure.

  • Amazing !!!

  • Mate, you've got some tehnique! I really enjoyed watching you play... I have a sadowsky M5-24, which has also wide neck. Lately i changed my right hand technique to floating thumb (over strings), but i still have some problems muting lower strings. How do you deal muting lower strings when you have to skip some strings in high tempo? You play also with a very light touch, right? :)

    Great work once again :)

    Cheers from Slovenia

  • Perfect player !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • custom neck? whats different? great stuff!

  • Thanks , It`s a wider neck.

  • This one of the best playing around youtube...

    Greetings from Cyprus,Stay Well Edmond

  • Great playing! Thanks for posting. Bach was incredible too!

    and my VF-5. Perfect set.

    Thanks !!!

  • Best sound ever is right. Wow.

But great playing too. I'll get all my friends from Club Fbass to come check this out, Edmond. They'll love it.

    Well done.
